The entire personality of the offense changed when Gabbert was inserted.
What did it change to?

Didn't that have something to do with Aldon and the off-season team meltdown?

Most impressive, throwing for garbage yards in garbage games that no one cares about. Stafford, Cutler and Romo have made millions doing the same. You don't get it. To actually win games you need IT. Not yards in garbage time. Hows Andrew Luck fairing? Even before this year? Dude isn't clutch. Ya can't teach that!

But keep harping tho.....I'm sure the league drafting more and more non-pro style QBs ISN'T a forecast for what the future is moving towards.

That's all that's coming out of college. Some will be molded into pro style QB's. Many more will fail and be out of the league in a handful of years. A few will remain running QB's until age catches up with them or they get injured. The more hits you take the more chances you have of being seriously hurt.
When it comes to Kap and the one OC he's had, I'm not counting Geep, or my statement would have more credibility, versus Alex Smith having 5 or 6 before being traded seems unfair. Let the kid go through some growing pains. He never had a QB coach and Harbo did nothing to improve his QB ability but just enhance his talents for 4 yrs....

Last year he made terrible mistakes on a terrible team. When the team was balling so was he.

Ah yes, it all makes sense now.

This moron actually thought Locker, Gabbert and Ponder were going to be better than Cam.

Really hope Chip sees what Carolina is doing with Cam and tries to with Kap or drafts a QB that he can mold into this type of QB.

Once Brady retires all these old school statue QBs will be finished. 4 years now mobile QBs won the NFC. That's not a coincidence. Especially since there's only a handful of mobile QBs in the league compared to the vast majority of statues QBs that are "cerebral" whatever the heck that means.

He sounds like a lot of posters in this thread.

How you can write someone off who has achieved as much as Kap is beyone me? It has to be personal, otherwise, why would you spend so much time focusing on the one bad season he had on a crappy team?

Kap needs a top-flight defense on the other side and a good run-blocking OL surrounding him, just like Newton has.

You'd get laughed out of any other forum saying that s***. I know you don't think so, but you are clueless.
Cam Newton had shown improvement on his game after a slumping 2012 sophomore year, as early as 2013 and definitely was noticeable by everyone in 2014.

He didn't wait for a stellar defense and a good oline to improve him. People pointing to Cam Newton's defense and oline of 2015 to correlate what Kaep would only need to show improvement. That's BS.

Kaep had similar setup to Newton since 2012 and had gotten worst the last 3 years. Even his confidence has had enough and left.

Newton and his oline are playing well enough to compensate for a lack of good receiving group. Kaep with a very good group of receivers didn't help the oline at all.

He had a similar set up in 2012. The only reciever we brought back was Vernon (Crab too but he didn't play until like week 13, and Colin took off from there), and he was missing games due to injury (Vernon). We had Boldin, but without any other talent at receiver to compliment him. It wasn't similar in 2013, we had no speed at receiver amd the ones that had any speed dont play in the NFL anymore.

Actually the only receiver to play in the first half 2013 that's still in the NFL is Boldin lol. People seem to forget, we weren't very talented in the pass catching department that season.

Cam stands tall in the pocket and can deliver an accurate pass, something at which kap is terrible at. unless he improves in that department quickly, i dont see him being a legit starter in the NFL again.
