I hope Chip can save Kap's career, that would be the best thing for our team. Got a good backup in Gabby.
Now just beef up the oline and front 7.
God i hope

You Kap fan boys are going to be devastated when Chip and Trent send Kap packing. Chips offense has his QB making multiple pre and post snap reads. Kap simply can't do this. He will see this seasons tape, and it will reaffirm what we all know: Kap is trash.
I don't find calling an athlete that worked his butt off to get the pros and likely worked harder than most of us "trash" to be a coherent opinion.
He won road play-off games and went to a Super Bowl.
Now, I will give you that he has not shown signs of being elite - sometimes not even middle of the pack.
But he certainly isn't "trash"

I saw Kap flipping through a magazine once. Does that mean he's making multiple reads?
I swear some act like Kap was flipping through their moms with the way people randomly bash the guy.

Kap is like that guy who cuts you off by changing lanes from all the way from the far left lane to the exit lane on the freeway because he didn't realize his exit was coming up until it was too late. Dude should have his license taken away. Oh wait, it was taken away.

@timkawakami Uh Oh... Dilfer just went on SportsCenter and said he doesn't think Kap will be Chip's QB and then trashed Kap. So there it i
Dilfer has been sticking up for the Yorks and Baalke since the harbaugh divorce, and even before then
Cited that when he was benched, he distanced himself from teammates. how the f**k does he know? Essentially said Kap isnt a leader and thats what Chip wants.

^ for the videos
Dilfer was all over Kaep's nuts in the Vikes game. Most of us were. Fooled by Kaep fools gold again.

Seriously, can a Kap fan dig down inside themselves and explain why a player that has played poorly for the last two years is still held in such high regard by a good many fans in here? It is like a strange cult following to me. Fact, per the numbers Kap was a borderline top 10 QB for two seasons (2012,2013). He was below average (2014) and bottom 5 (2015). His numbers have trended down from the beginning, if Kaepernick was a stock looking at the numbers no one would buy it hoping for a rebound in price. People who weren't impressed with him have been called all kinds of names by his supporters, belittled as to knowing nothing about football and even called racist. As I see it Kap gave the 49ers two good years and two bad ones.
What about Vernon Davis? 2 time Pro Bowler, At least 5 times a top 10 player at his position. Two bad years that could possibly be because of injuries or father time caught up with the beating his body has taken over the years. Some 49er fans were saying he had a Hall of Fame career going. Yet when he falls off I was one of a couple guys saying maybe it was injuries knowing a bad back can make everything difficult. Most of the fan base called him all kinds of names, even questioning his manhood. Not even the biggest Kap hater has heaped the scorn on him that Vernon got by the hundreds.
Vernon gave us at least 5 good to great years and two bad ones. Kaepernick is at 2 good two bad. If their careers ended today all "non" 49er fans and the media talking heads would say Vernon was a far better tight end than Kaepernick was a quarterback. So why the major difference in attitude toward them in here? Serious question, someone please explain.

Well said, NCommand, well said. I have tried to put something together for the guys like appropriately named poster you were conversing with, but you got everything in that needed to be said. I never recall one or two guys being so obstinate and always put Kap first in their posts. As you said, "it's the team, " not "it's kap" . Somehow some folks just don't understand that, which means they really like their man, but at total disregard for the remainder of the team. That is a bridge too far. Your point re: $12 mil cap space, or perhaps, Kap space, is well taken. Once we get that DT, OT, C, OLB passrusher, OG, ILB...that cap space won't exist. Yeah, some of that will come thru draft, but unfortunately we need 5 picks in the first round to fill all those gaps. So at least 3/5 or 4/5 is going to have to come thru FA, and THEN...$12 mil will be the difference in replacing our multiple starters lost last yr ...or not.
It's a team thing. It would be a whole different thing if kap hadn't regressed, then proceeded to his meltdown( "cut me or trade me, i don't care")....but all that happened, and he is not worth a fraction of $12 mil at present. If he demands that, then there is no place for him here, and i would guess elsewhere either. AFter 5 yrs, he is way behind other successful QBs in that long a time, and should have to earn whatever it is he gets. And $12 mil isn't the number. Why his ardent fans aren't thinking about him elsewhere is baffling. Look at Alex who got a schidt deal from harbaw....he was ready to play after his concussion, and harbs advanced kap instead. Bad move by an inexperienced NFL HC. But after thinking about it for awhile, i was happy for alex, and hoped he would be traded where he got a fair shake, as opposed to here. Bingo, Reid and the Chiefs....and there was alex playing in post season while we nursed our 5-11 . So if i were an avid fan of kap, that is exactly what i would be hoping for. The poster you were talking to wants kap to be #1, and he wants that to happen here. A fairly good example of someone blinded by rage, or fury.

If Dilfer says it, I guess it must be true. I guess Sam Bradford is coming here

Thank you!
So how was it ok by the masses to say two time pro bowler Vernon Davis had female body parts? That is a lot worse than calling a player trash. Please explain as 100's of people said than about Vernon.
