The coaches advice Kap to just hand the ball off, since they are at the 2 yd line with the worst O-line in football going up against the best front four in the NFL.

I'm also guessing that they told him to make sure and secure the exchange, and live to fight another day.

But, let's blame Kap for not winging it at the 2yd, with the worst O-line in football.

Passing....lol... Is that what you call Gabberts lateral passes and 5 yards when we need 9 attempts. That dude is the ultimate stat gamer.

Also can you tell me what Gabberts 3 rd down percentage was va Kaps this year? How about on third and long?

Don't mean to come off rude I just think Gabberts stats are a joke. The guy never comes through on 3rd and anything, plus he rarely scored any TDs.

Kaepernick- 8 starts 6 TDs
Gabbert- 8 starts 10 TDs

Relax, just having a little fun, my goodness.

But to tell you the truth, that's unacceptable for a multi million dollar QB. He didn't even make any pre-snap reads and it shouldn't matter who his head coach is he should be able to make that read.

this was a presnap read that Kaep and Tree talked about after the game. So it's not like he couldn't do it.

I'm not saying he couldn't do it, I'm saying he shouldn't be making that mistake, regardless of who his head coach is.

If this play was in any other spot other than the 2yd line and against the best DLine in football, I would be right there with you guys ...smh
But, the spot on the field and the play-it-safe mentality of the coaching staff (as well as other factors like a s**tty oline) make me feel different.
the same posters spew the same s**t... it doesn't really matter.

Lets just say that both Kaepernick and Gabbert were free agents after this year.

even with Kap's "worse" half of a season... and Gabbert's "best" half a season..

who do you think teams would go after?

Do you expect any teams asking Baalke for a trade for Gabbert this offseason?

It cracks me up when we have people say they have already "seen enough" to know that Gabbert should be the starter next year..or that he is better than Kaepernick.

Again.. if a team had to invest money in either of these two players, who would it be? If they had to?

I mean Gabbert is just as athletic as Kaepernick...Gabbert has a strong arm at times...so who would it be?

Gabbert and his Jaguars + 9ers film? or Kaepernick and his 9ers film?

Let's see if we get any calls for Gabbert.

Again..not trying to bash the guy, but imo he has not shown enough.... he had a easy chance to run away with this starting role...but he played not to look bad.

he even said it himself...he wasn't going to throw beyond the sticks in the first half...but would wait for the defense to adjust and then do it in the second half. As if our defense is not going to get tired being on the field because of these non-conversions.

It is the safe play though, no CB or Safety is anywhere near Torrey Smith and Kap has more than enough arm strength to make that throw. We can blame Tomsula and Geep Chryst all day for being conservative, but that play needed to be made, obviously Torrey Smith jumping up and down thought so too.

That is about coaching. He has the arm to drive it down the field. Ultra-conservative, ball security Chryst is the source. BG was just spouting the company line.

Obviously teams would be calling to see if they can revive Kaps career, but his contract will turn a lot of people off IMO. I'm not sure teams would be willing to trade and pay Kap $16 mil after his horrid 2015 season. Gabbert has shown he is a capable back up, and that's all he is right now or should I say stop-gap QB at best.

And to tell you the truth I'd rather take a chance on rookie (Jared Goff or Paxton Lynch) than to take another chance with Kap and his regressing cause that's all he seems to be doing without Harbaugh. But that's just me.

That's were we differ. I don't view it as a safe play, and I already covered the many reasons for feeling that way(arm strength not being one).

Moving on...

I'm worried with all these damn injuries Kap has he's not going to be able to pass his physical.
