Kaep's salary isn't keeping us from doing anything. This isn't like years past when we were so close to the cap. We have a massive amount of cap space.

So what? Who pays 16 mill for a backup QB. That's 2 OL right there.

Stafford is playing miles better with a dummed down offense. Look. Unless you're a Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc...basically guys who have played for many years in the same system, you're going to run some version of a dumbed down offense.

Kap played many years in the same system and we had to dumb it down. That's not how it's supposed to work.

RG3's a backup..but anyways, a new head coach who wants Kaep on the team will not see him as a backup. He will be a starter and get every opportunity to be the starter.

The worse thing to ever happen in pro sports is player salaries being public knowledge. Everyone's a capologist.
Kap isnt old, if theres a coach out there that wants to work with Kap and can get him to perform at a high level then thats better for us. we dont have to blow a super early pick on a QB, we should still draft one by the 3rd round as a backup option tho just in case

Kaep went to 2 NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl. Maybe you'd rather have a QB in a complex system that is sitting on his couch during the playoffs.

There are many QB's playing in more simplified offenses.

You have 0 idea on how a new HC would view him. He either drops his salary or he's gone. We can get the same if not better production from Gabbert for a fraction of the cost. That's not being a capologist, it's being intelligent.

We have a vet QB vested numerous years in the same system and still can't figure it out.....and he's sitting at home during the playoffs.

None of your spin will work. His mechanics are crap and he still can't be trusted with a playbook. When defenders say they know the plays...yeah that's a problem.

Exactly.

It makes me laugh when dumb asses talk about his salary as if they are the one paying it. As long as he's not holding the team back from signing players then STFU!

And neither do you. What has Gabbert EVER done? Please list his resume. He is paid what he is paid because of that. But who cares? He's cheap. Jed, is that you?

Ok Einstein, why was Gore, Lee, Iupati, etc let go? Because we didn't have the cap room to sign them/keep them on bigger contracts. Would you rather have Gore and Lee back or Kap sitting on the bench?

*sigh*

Lee wanted to be near his child. Iupati wanted way too much money and Frank was old. Fitting that you are blaming all of that on Kaep. Kaep signed a team friendly deal so we could sign players. The space was there and look what we got. You should blame the GM, not the QB.

More TD's, more completions, and more yards compared to Kap this year....with less games played. That's means he's doing the same if not better and he's much cheaper.

Kaps mom is that you?

If we had another 10 mill on the books good chance we keep at least one of them. Would you rather have Gore or Mike Davis playing?
