How the f**k does Alex Smith continually get brought up? Is this what it's about? To use your word...this is getting tiresome. The guy never had a chance in the minds of some people who are still trying to get over the loss of the previous QB.
yeah, almost won a Super Bowl. nearly beat the Champs. just a polite way of saying that he lost when the games counted the most. I can think of maybe three games where Kaepernick stood out, the New England game and the two games against the Packers before this year. Beyond those he has never struck me as being anything special.

Really? He was a raging maniac on the sidelines and directed a huge amount of unnecessary b******t at the refs the whole game. Like him or not, this is something that really can't be argued.
reading the past few pages....man I wonder if 9er fans or the Webzone will ever be normal again.

We are destined to be at each other's throats until the second coming of Bill Walsh and Joe Montana.

to me it is the look of someone who ate potatoe salad left out in the sun
Kaep looks like he has been smoking weed
After listening to CK's comments with the press I have a completely different take than I did after reading his comments and reading this thread. His demeanor was calm, respectful and measured. Have no idea how that's a bad thing! He even managed to smile a couple of times which is really amazing after losing your job. Happened to me years ago and I didn't smile for a couple of hours...and even then I probably resembled Lurch from the Adams Family!
he said it cost us game and the SB

Finally? It's well known I don't like Kap. It's also pretty well known you're obsessed with the guy. Whatever floats your boat.

So it was Elways fault his teams couldn't get it done early in his career? Not saying Kap can turn this around, but you're making an idiots argument. Kap was the only reason we had a chance in our playoff losses and you can't deny that.

Our defense (2012) and Gore (2013) are what didn't show up when it counted most. All we needed was a mediocre performance from our Defense and we have a SB. They didn't get it done. Maybe another 20-40 yards from Gore and we probably win in Seattle.

If all of you think Alex did enough to win the 2011 nfcc while our defense/st held Giants to 17 in regulation, you can't turn around and say Kap failed when he doubled Alex's production in the SB and our defense/st gave up 34 in regulation. Why does it pain you guys so much to know Colins more deserving of a SB than Alex?

No point in arguing with him
He's stated clearly he's a Kaep fan first, and foremost

Not sure why people alway have to knock a QB to praise another. Smith hasn't played in the SB so his production doubled would have been zero. But if you are looking at each QBs best game, either in the playoffs or in 2012 Smith wins the passing nod.

Kaepernick's best playoff game--302 yards passing, Smith's best playoff game 299 (SF) and 378 (KC) yards passing.

In 2012 Kaepernick's best passing game--302, Smith's 303.

Kaepernick's game in GB was one of the great games in football history...adding passing and running.

I bring up Alex because that's all that's being brought up. Oh he needs to learn how to handle a benching like Alex. He needs to learn to read a defense (which alex sucks at lol) like Alex. Here's some quotes from Alexs benching lmfao It's literally pathetic. The last thing any team wants is a checkdown king that you can't move on from because of his rating and comp %. Alex can rack up all the checkdown stats he wants, it never has, and never will get him anywhere.

Oh yea and his playing awesome vs indy game, and coming close in nfcc is just a polite way of saying he lost when the games counted most.

Harbaughs one of the smartest football minds in the game today. He couldn't dump a checkdown king with a great rating and completion % fast enough. Not many coaches would do that, but there aren't many smarter than Harbs. He knew it would never get him anywhere.
