I have no idea if CK can accurately self-evaluate but it seems he is a very straight line thinker who doesn't venture far from his focused path...sort of like his vision on the field...no peripheral ability.

So looking forward to seeing what Gabbert will do with this OL!

I agree. Just watched the interview myself, he didn't have an attitude. I was actually surprised how upbeat he was.

Seems like he's relieved to not be playing this week. Kap denied it, but the coaches are right in saying he needs to step back and breath. Get his mind right.

Q: Geep Chryst said he thought when you came in 2012, you looked like someone wanting to make some plays, where this year he thought the mentality was to avoid making mistakes. Is that accurate, do you know what he's getting at?

No. I don't believe that's accurate. Every time I step on the field, I step on the field to make plays. But that's just the matter of opinion.

........LOL........

LMFAO

This. LOL. I'm kinda done with Kaep. I am NOT a mean person but I'm gonna say it because I feel the need to say it but KAP IS NOT CEREBRAL Enough to be a QB in the NFL. In 2012 appearantly he got by with a powerful run game and a strong defense. But the latter part of 2013, NFL Defenses have figured out Kap and he is not smart enough, accurate enough to get the job done and the offense has sputtered going on 2 YEARS 2014 and 2015.

Basically Kaep has failed to take that next step of being a True Franchise QB so for me its GAME OVER for Kaep as a 49er.

I would say this year has one advantage (WR) but very significant disadvantages.

QB: Same, but played better in 2012 (due to many factors including OL)
RB: Hyde injured, Gore was a workhorse. 2012 wins due to health/stability
WR: 2015 beats 2012...Boldin, Smith, Simpson, Ellington and Patton are a much stronger group.
TE: 2012 wins...VD was healthy and Walker
OL: 2012 by a huge margin. Only two good players this year!
Coaching: 2nd year of the Harbaugh era and all arrows were pointing up...this year is a transition year and painful to watch.

So the only area where this year is stronger than 2012 is WR and that is somewhat debatable. Crabtree, Moss and Manningham were decent but Moss was over the hill...used more as a decoy.

So everything around him got worse, except for his WR which cancel out if your line plays terribly. The expectation was that he was supposed to improve despite all of that. LOL.

This is why I usually hate the simple answers. "Just fire X and everything will be fine!" Rarely works that way...ask the Browns.

yup he surprised the league, and now everyone has caught up. now kap has no clue how to take the next step.

This right here is pure gold.

Way to play right into the current media and fans perception in him. The media couldnt have written a better transcript from fiction to play into the perception of him right now.

In that interview He comes off as a foolish douche bag that has no desire to see and improve on his shortcomings. The very real shortcomings that caused him to be benched. Now that's not to say he doesnt "work" hard. The guy is an athlete and works incredibly hard to maintain that athleticism. I just don't think he knows or has the ability to work hard in the right ways to be a successful NFL QB. Pounding the gym more than anyone else in the building does not mean you are working hard to be a QB.

Running around all stubborn and saying "i played seasons before, im not breathing hard, i don't worry about being benched" does not scream professional QB.

A professional QB would say something to the effect of "yea im pissed i got benched. I know its mostly my fault due to my play, but you know what? I know im a damn good QB and im going to prove it. Im gonna live in the film room and work after hours with my coaches until i earn the starting role back and work my ass off to put Gabbert out of a starting QB job. Me and Gabbert are friends, but im gonna take his job. No, correction, Im going to take MY job BACK"

He seems disinterested in anything outside of pumping up his own ego and telling himself he has no control over his situation.

I know he is a bright kid. Really smart even. But i don't think he has the right mental capacity or makeup to be an NFL QB.

Im sure he will be successful at other things in his life, im just not certain NFL QB will ever be one of them.

LOL .. .no professional QB would say anything of the sort.

I didn't like his answer to the "step back and breath", but the rest of it was honest answers.

I obviously over exaggerated my wording in the bolded. I was trying to make a point. Maybe i didnt do the best job.

Here lets compare what kap had to say compared to what another QB had to say after he was benched.

"I mean, it sucks. You state your case with your play, and I felt I did that. I feel like the only thing I did to lose my job was get a concussion,"

"This is such a great team, such a great group of guys in this locker room. There's something special going on. Yeah, it's a tough pill to swallow, for sure."

"It stings the most because I really feel like there's something special going on here. You sacrifice and you invest so much time. Like I said, I really feel like I hadn't done anything but get a concussion to really...to facilitate this. I feel like I was playing good football."

Im sure i could find many more post benching interviews that were 100% better, more mature, and more professional than the one Kap just gave, without looking very hard.

f you read your post above this one, I'd say it takes the cake. Not surprised, Kaep's biggest detractors ore his interview apart and once again made it personal. It's amazing how a person can hate someone they don't even know.

Guess you can say the same thing about Luck, Cam, Smith, Stafford, etc. Their numbers have all dropped.

You are comparing to a guy who was playing really really well, on a 5 - 2 team that was a favorite to win the SB. To a guy who is on a 2 - 6 team filled with s**tty players.

I was a Kap supporter until this season. So good try.

Kap played himself out of a roster spot, and he is close to talking himself out of any respect he once had from fans or the media.

Blindfury u should take a break lol. At least till Sunday. You can bicker all u want and get pissed with all these posts and the coaches but fact of the matter is you ain't really gonna change anything. You always on every page in here arguing with people about kap. That shows you are pretty attached to the situation and its starting to show lmao. Give it a day or two, you'll feel all good again I'm telling ya!

I am comparing the pressers and nothing else. I expect a QB who has confidence in his game to atleast stick up for himself and state firmly that he intends to work hard to improve and do all the things necissary to become a starting NFL QB again. He didnt even do that.

How about this one below? I can find more if my point isn't getting across clearly...

"I don't know if coach just believes that because of things that have stockpiled it seems to have taken away from the edge I normally have on the field or what," Garcia said. "But if that's what he believes, then I need to do my best to get that back and prove to him that it's there."

Gruden has maintained that despite the benching, his relationship with Garcia is fine.

"He knows exactly where I'm coming from," the coach said after practice. "Jeff will not start ... I expect him to be active, and hopefully, he can get back here soon and play with the style that we all know and need around here."

Kap needs to shut his mouth and figure out how to find open receivers and try to understand how to get rid of the ball when you're being blitzed.
