Nothing Smith can do. That is why I said Kap is a WR killer.

If Gabbert does not come in soon, and establish his ability to play effectively, it will set the stage for two more pathetic years. It will take that long to draft another prospect and coach him up. It may take that long anyway if Gabbert cannot perform but I am betting he will be much better than Kaepernick...but then the local HS QB is better than CK.

post game is asking what many are wondering. How much longer can we stick with kap? Im not saying Gabert is the save all be all but isn't it time to see what we have at backup? He may be worse, but at least we'll see that we need both a starter and backup. Or Gabert comes in and actually performs.

Is it possible that Kap had no freedom to change the play and The Rams knew this and also knew what was coming? I think this might be all on the coaching staff.

I think this is where the team is at. Couple that with Kap playing scared and not wanting to screw up and you get this abomination.

Given Torrey's reaction, I'd say there was an opportunity to change the play and get the ball to him.

I get very conflicted talking about Carr. Some close friends of ours are close to the Carr family since David and Derek were kids. They say Derek has always been a great kid. Very respectful. Intelligent. Great work ethic and focus even back in elementary school. Just all the things that make parents proud. Knowing our friends as I do, I trust their opinion.

Lets see, Carr has a monster #1 receiver, arguably the best pass blocking oline in the league and a run game. I've been watching the Raiders quite a bit and the guy has so much time to throw. He was pretty decent in his 1st year (no one was clamorring for him) got a proper head coach, an improved line, some receivers and a running game and wow...he's better? Or does it have anything to do with the fact that Bill Musgrave his OC actually has experience with 5 diferent teams while Geep has no experience besides his stint with San Diego who was absolute trash? Shocking!


Line? Carr
OC? Carr
Receivers? Carr
Running game? Carr
Coaching staff? Carr

I'd say Carr has much better pieces around him and it's not close.

Is Bradford an option for next season? Traditional pocket passing quarterback.

We'll need to find this out. If the theory that Kaep is dumb and the reason why the offense is so anemic is because it's dumbed down for Kaep who can't grasp it, then I would not believe that he'd have authority to audible out of plays. I'd rather wait till it comes from the horse's mouth before assuming one way or another.

Nah, we need to do better than Bradford. He's not good.

Definitely need a timing, rhythm passer. Would rather draft our own guy.
