1 sack, 1 hit = worst OL in the league.

Some people have an agenda to b***h about something just to b***h without knowing nothing about what they're actually b***hing about.

But.....but.....but.... we were told that our O-line sucked as pass protection

how dare they give Jimmy G time to throw and be inaccurate, this isn't the Niner Talk way.

LOL. To be fair, in context, it was a ton of screen passes and quick hitters and 32 runs to help JG back in his first game and they didn't have any pass rushers left... basically they were us last year. Now, if they post something like this against good edge rushers, we'll feel much better.

The OLine will be tested for sure.

But that will be the story for the whole season.

I hope they pass the test w/flying colors!

One positive is that they cant look worse than last week. Even if they look bad, its gonna be better than last week.

I assume you are referencing their run blocking, correct?

I mean what the heck do you think Brady and the Pats do? Crap ton of screen passes and quick throws...yet ya'll got hard ons over the patriot's OL lol?

We will see how the seasons goes no doubt. Arrow up this week

That's an interesting stat for the O line in week one. I didn't see the problems in pass pro, it was oddly the run blocking that was the issue.

True on some of those points, but all offseason/TC/Preseason people were crying about our oline especially the interior being trash @ pass protection and not giving enough time for jimmy to throw up a tent and campfire. Here after week 1, #1 pass protection. Both our LT an RT I feel are above average so edge rushers shouldn't worry us too much. Its the interior everyone had to worry about, but I felt against Suh and Vea, they did a great job. Those two aren't no slouches. Now i'm not saying they're going to be #1 in pass protection every week, but its definitely a step in the right direction. They definitely need to play this well with run blocking as their pass protection to get a good balance. Anywho my point is that as much as everyone says about how bad the line is, they should give credit where and when they do play well.

Definitely need to improve the run blocking.

Yeah it was weird kyle ran more inside zone than usual and it was right at vita and Suh. Their DTs are legit.

Outside zone they were getting 5 ypc, not sure what the deal was there?
Our OL just might not be as bad as some here suggests. The Buccs DL is harassing the sh!t out of Cam right now.
Vita and Suh did a great job against the run. A lot of our pass is set up by the run. Still, jimmy failed to execute. Need him to execut or put in big dick mullens
Lol, Panthers OL struggling to block Tampa's DL.

This Barrett guy going off tonight (3 sacks) after Staley put him in checked last week. Lol.. Staley still got it

Even with proof of legit production...we still have to hear about this being a "major concern"

It was a 6.1 yard average. Not his usual 8+ average. I was just noting the clear and obvious game plan here for context. They played a team that was terrific against the run but had no pass rushers...so our pass protection was really good coupled with the game plan (short passing game + 32 rushes) and they struggled against the run. It is what it is. Credit where credit is due but context is important here.

Again if they start putting up similar performances against good pass rushing teams while we're still throwing Kyle's normal intermediate passing game successfully 35+ times, then I'm getting excited!
