Gaping holes in the secondary and we didnt take advantage of it. Its that simple. We won today but they will be few and far between with offense like we saw today.

To be fair, we did have 3TDs and 2 FGs opportunities taken off the scoreboard. That paired with the removal of JGs pick 6, this game has a much different look to it.

1st two picks should still be on the OL

we went empty set quite a few times
I didn't really notice Richburg, I hope that's a good thing. But I did notice Tomlinson, yikes. I could be mistaken, but we need to move on from Laken.

They gave him an extension

I call it going bareback. Kyle needs to protect his Jimmy.

There's some good players on that DLine, and Richburg is just coming off injury - those are facts. Having said that, I still think they will play well (barring injury - *knock on wood*)

My hope is that Kyle and Jimmy can get a lead on the Bucs and in the 2nd half, just run that team into the ground. No need for Jimmy to pass and possibly get hurt, just hand off to RB1A and RB1B and call it a day.

establish that run kyle as we know or assume the o line can run block very well.. make jimmy move around. screen passes to the backs. in the flat to juice.. man remember the days when other teams knew if we got up by two scores in the 3rd quarter. the way we could run the ball. we would be very hard to beat? be nice to get back to that

We got back a good ways to it this game. I saw everybody complaining about Kyle running the ball - and I was having a laugh because Kyle was ahead. That's what you are supposed to do when you are ahead in the 3rd and 4th Qtrs. Jimmy didn't get hurt. The offense produced some good red zone scores, but called back because of penalties. I think this offense can get better with Pettis stepping up, with DeeBo getting better at holding the ball, and more reps for the OLinemen. I'm looking forward to seeing Jeff Wilson getting some reps against the ones and twos. Mostert really looks like a starting running back.

After the bye week, Shanny better have this s**t cleaned up.

Hopefully, after watching film and rust knocked off, they'll perform better in Cincy.

By trust, I mean, him mentally trusting his recovering injured leg (knee, quad).

i want to see him on the move because i think he is better when moving around as a qb. not to mention see how the knee holds up. i guess with our o line. him on the move is very likely. i am glad he took a few shots in pre season but now the bullets start to fly. also last year. our wide outs had issues getting open. we have our rookie in there,, but we will see if they are better or if its the same old s**t with those guys. sans kittle and our rookie cuz we know they can do the job

That sprint up the middle and him getting a first down was a good sign he was confident in his knee. He did finally slide, but he still got hit. Other than that, I didn't see Jimmy get hit too much.

I think they really emphasized protecting Jimmy vs run blocking. I think that may be one reason the run game really didn't get untracked in this game.

Good point. But (I think) they were blitzing and trying to rattle Jimmy and just happened to blitz when he would hand off and they just happen to stuff the run game. When I review the film in a day or two, I'll know more, but that's my impression. I think the run game is better than what showed up in the first game, and I think the Colman injury kind of slowed the run offense, but with Mostert, I think the run game will be explosive against the Bungles in the next game.

Not by the OL however.
