2nd in the league in sacks allowed and 7th most QB hits with 107

FWIW Collins was the 31st ranked OT and will be a top 5 paid OT. Also Collins gave up 16 sacks last yr according to Voch Lombardi, thank god Dallas overpaid this dude

They gave up 8 more sacks than the 49ers?!? We probably passed more too??? Lol.

All that money and they still gave up 8 more sacks than the 49ers horrible, worst of all-time OL last year.

They were bad last year. Not sure why honestly. They haven't been the same OL for a couple years now.

Eh, they will still piss all that talent away and go 8-8

And near the top in sacks allowed last year

Interesting, hope it pays off

Thought I could get the tweet visible, oh well

Says Pope had offers from 4 other teams and ultimately chose the 49ers

He saw Brunskill, Garland and Skule and said, "That's my team! That one."

Good move.

A young and developing Joe Staley. if Benton has 50% the ability of Alex Gibbs, Pope has a shot at McGlinchy's spot in a year or two if or when Staley retires.

LOL. Yeah, it's easy to make those Staley to Pope connections. Haha
Anybody have a pass pro grade on Mills???

Cap is a myth.
Just a curious question for some of my more knowledgeable friends , did he play in a similar ZBS system? Or will it matter?

And 108 QB hits too. You can expect that many sacks and hits more by a running QB but Dak doesn't fall into that bucket to me.
Mills is bad at run blocking and outside the top 100 OT at pass blocking. Struggles with speed rushers. Probably still better than Pope. His QBs have been a rookie and Tyrod Taylor so not exactly quick decision makers.

Highest paid OL in football, ranked 28th in pass blocking. Maybe they haven't invested enough in their OL? Shame on them.

There's really no excuse either. That's a lot of collective "talent" right there and it's not like they are running an exotic outside zone scheme. Basically, they are us --- good running blocking unit, blows at pass protection.

And for 2020 OL Unit Spendings:
Cowboys - $49.9M (1st)
49ers - $33.9M (13th)

He's perfect for our standards. LOL

Honestly I think he's a little better than Coleman, he was a 3yr starter for the Bills.

When they had some of the worst OLs in football.

The 49ers kicked the tires on him before during the epic Jimsula era.

That was a few years ago now...guys do develop.

If Richburg can stay healthy, and be the player he was in NY. Then with our C and 2 T's, our OL will be above average. We will just need our guards to be consistent. It all boils down to health.

Agreed, and you can say that for every single team in the NFL regarding health

I believe we have some of the worst OL depth in the NFL. If we lose a starter to an injury itll be much worse for us than other teams
