3rd round argument... Kicker or RB!?!?

I hold Al Davis in very, very low regard and Madden quite the opposite. And it's the O line for me!

Draft Plans or No Draft Plans, both are clueless .. We can't even give them a C+ from all the drafting they've made..

I disagree, I mean now I do after going back and watching Robert Jones and Carver Willis. IMO, Jones is a lot like Aaron Banks, mauler in the run game and decent in pass protection, only he doesn't have a $100 mil contract. Carver Willis I like how he gets to the second level in the running game, I feel like he would be a good replacement for Brendel.

Between Al Davis and Jerry Jones, I'll take Al Davis.

No change at C this year. Next year one cannot count on Willis being ready any more than Enrique Cruz is Trent's replacement. They've taken their chances on mid-late round draft picks and only a couple/three have done ok-just ok. Decent IOL's are available in round 3 most years and they spend them on rb's that can't play. If Willis gets to the 2nd level well then Cruz should be even better as his 40 time was 4.94. One year to find out. Then draft OL high next year. The presence of Kaelon Black on 3rd and short should make a difference. Imagine another 2 minutes of possession for every 1st down he gets us.

Puni was a good pick, so was Colton McKivitz, and anytime you can get a ok *starter* from UDFA, that's a win in my book.

I think Carver has a good shot at the starting position, and Enrique will have a year or more to develop since Trent is going to play at least this year.

ShanaLynch have had decent (but not outstanding) results from their offensive line drafts, but I think they are getting better. 2023 was a low point but 2024 (Puni) and 2025 (Conner Colby) are good players that I think can get better. I'm hoping Carver can step in like Puni did. If anybody can develop Enrique into a Colton McKivitz 2.0 - its Foerster. We'll find out in pre-season if any of these guys have developed or can even play at the NFL starter level.
For anyone interested, im doing a deep dive into the OL tomorrow at 7:30 AM PST on my channel. I got ahold of some Foerster install tapes and so im covering the 49ers OL philosophy and how Carver Willis fits in here.
