This unit badly needs to be improved via the draft. Signed up a few backup caliber oline is not going to fix the underlying issues.

Will a rookie be able to make this unit better?

Colton's been improving every year that hes been here. Maybe he makes a big leap again and becomes elite?

PFF has Brendel and Mckivitz as top 10 at their position. The Bears game intro had him at #2 overall at RT

Exactamundo….but they call holding on us and not the Chiefs…..that is until the last SB

I keep hearing about the Chiefs OL and how the Chiefs beat Burford and won the SB. But that isn't the reason why the 49ers lost that game. Not even close. Look at the stats. Not the final score. The stats. That will tell you how and why the 49ers lost that game. The 49ers defense was torched for 325 passing yards. The 49ers defense was pushed around for 130 rushing yards. The 49ers defense allowed 5.8 yards per play. The 49ers defense was roadgraded for 455 yards of total offense. At no time did the 49ers defense ever stop the Chiefs when it really counted. Do you notice a common thread here?

Compare the 2024 game to the 49ers victories in the previous SB wins. Pay close attention to what the defense allowed in those games. That is how the 49ers lost the last SB they played in. It's got nothing to do with Burford or the OL play.

it wasn't the defense it was the DC, Plus it was a muffed punt and an unblocked Jones

Yes but the defense made 0 plays in the 4th qtr and OT.

Not Bosa
Not Armstead
Not Warner
Not Ward
Not Lenoir
Not Gipson

No one made a freaking play in crunch time. No one.

Proof PFF isn't reliable.

With only 6 picks and several other needs there isn't much chance of any major changes. They may get one good O linemen but there aren't a lot of really good ones available. The best 3 or 4 will be gone before the 49ers draft.

The person who a lot of niner fans want to draft too (Max Iheanachor) is extremely raw too he wouldnt be talked about in first round at all if it wasnt such a weak class

Defense wasn't perfect, but the offense had the first shot in OT. On that 3rd down - Jones runs up the middle untouched -> play blown up - is the difference between KC needing a TD + 2-point conversion vs just walking it off.

Yeah no. It was the CMC fumble. Team was marching down the field, having their way with the Chiefs D, and they would have scored a TD had that not happened. Nearly as bad as Craig's fumble in the 90 NFCCG.

The game wasn't decided by that
