Austen Pleasants looked comfortable / confident last night and played like a real vet as if he was the starting LT all season

He's a rather huge fellow as well (6' 7", 330 lbs)... #MountPleasant

Pleasants might have benefitted from all of the rest days Trent has gotten during the week this season. At least one day a week, Pleasants has gotten to work with the first team offense.

Good point. That would explain why he did so well yesterday.

facts don't matter in this thread is what i remember

Pepperidge Farm remembers the O line makes the QB and not the other way around.

Funny how the O line looks great with Purdy all the sudden. Must be witchcraft.

Do you not remember the dumb argument about O line making the QB because Command didn't want to admit Jimmy was the problem?

I've been so impressed with him over the last few games that I went and bought this in his honour this morning:

If he lays an egg in the future, then the same store has us covered:

O line has been very good. Mckivitz has been playing great. The turnaround can be traced back to Burford becoming the starting LG, he has helped stabilize the interior left side, and Brendel has been playing better since. So fun to watch this improvement
There was one CMCs long runs where Burford was 20 yards down field blocking guys. Multiple blocks along the way.

Hell of a game by Austen Pleasants.

Really impressed with how the oline has played of late. I don't think it's coincidental that Purdy has enjoyed so much success these past few weeks. The online has stepped up their game too.

Yup, absolutely agree with that. The olines performance I'd say is my biggest surprise this season.

For anyone who cares, here are some PFF season ratings along with their overall position ranking.
Trent Williams 91.5 3/84
Spencer Burford 59.7 42/79
Jake Brendal 72.3 11/40
Dominick Puni 69.9 22/79
Colton McKivitz 83.7 7/84

To follow on your post, here are the rankings for each:
Trent - #3 overall
McKivitz - #7
Those two are the highest rated pair of OTs in the league.

Burford - #41, at one point, while he was still fighting injuries, he was in the low 60s.
Puni - #26, like Burford, he was in the 60s while injured,
The fact these guys have raised their season average to where it is now, shows how well they have been playing during the present win streak,

Brendel - #11, at one point he was #19 but he has improved right along with the Guard play.

It's all about chemistry in the OL.

Nice added insight to the numbers!
