Crossing my fingers Saints cut McCoy and go into full rebuild.

This isn't from PFF. Check the source line.

PFF has McKivitz at #10.

The problem with the run game is the lack of continuity on the interior. Colby was a rookie that needed development. Bartch was good, then got hurt...again. Puni has only had two games that even came close to his 2024 play. Brendel has been a solid run blocker but without guards that are capable of cutting off pursuit or reading double teams well, it is hard to run the ball. Guard play has to improve. Hopefully they will find their grove against the Titans. Simmons will be a good test.

Has there been any word on Tomlinson? I can't see how adding him would hurt the team at all....

With the dearth of decent OL around the league, I have to think he has nothing left or someone would have already picked him up.

Ravens picked him up i believe

Yes, they did.

I think they were down to their 3rd string guard last night.

Desperation time.
Shout out to the OL tonight! Played really well - they've been coming on as the season has progressed.

Yeah, they definitely deserve a lot of credit for their success the past few games. Brock had a lot of time tonight.
Gave Purdy plenty of time to throw tonight and plenty of running lanes for CMC. Hell there was even a few where I was like wow what a big lane to run through. If they can play like this every week, watch out!

They looked very good tonight. I'm the first to b***h but even Brendel was decent tonight. I still find it odd they improved pass protection, but it seems at the expense of running lanes?

If they can play this good/consistent we will remain very dangerous. I still say we need Kittle. The backup guy is who got beat and the guy destroyed Purdy.

You NAILED it!!

LOL the OL has their best run blocking game of the year and you guys are already filling in their replacements for next year

LOL, well I think drafting a tackle ( with a high pick as well) makes sense given Trents age. Either him or McK get hurt we have a viable backup being groomed for the future etc.

I still want an upgrade at center. Brendel has played decent, but give me a rookie who can be a start anchor for 10-15 years. Dare I say Burford has looked good at left guard. I wish they would have done that sooner..
These guys have gone from clowns the first half of the season to damn near the best in the NFL in the second half.

The turnaround has been insane.

Health and good coaching. Colby and an injured Puni were the cause of a lot of the problems throughout the IOL in the first 1/3 of the season. Brendel caught a lot of flak, some deserved, but it is hard for a Center to know where to help if the Guards are not doing their job. Chemistry is critical to performance.

Trent said he's coming back and got a few (seasons) left in him. Assuming that's true, I don't think we draft a Trent replacement until he actually retires. Lot of needs elsewhere.

Plus we are too good to actually be in a position to draft a high caliber tackle. Given where we will be drafting, I'd like someone that can start at LG in the first round initially. If not, maybe trade out of the first and pick up an extra 3rd? Take a guard and an edge rusher with the picks.
Gotta give these guys their flowers. Last night was the best performance all season; and as some of you already mentioned, they have been trending up each game. Also like already mentioned, a lot of it has to do with health; Puni looks like he's back and he's one of the top guards in the league IMO. Burford has been better than I expected, as has McKivitz; and Trent is still as good as it gets at LT.

Amazing job and sure as f**k making a whole lot of people eat their words (including myself) who thought this group would be a weak link.
