Crossing my fingers Saints cut McCoy and go into full rebuild.

but we're also 26 in the league in rushing. Both can't be right if you have an all pro running back. There are not big lanes and holes to rein through, so PFFs ratings are flawed.
This isn't from PFF. Check the source line.
PFF has McKivitz at #10.
The problem with the run game is the lack of continuity on the interior. Colby was a rookie that needed development. Bartch was good, then got hurt...again. Puni has only had two games that even came close to his 2024 play. Brendel has been a solid run blocker but without guards that are capable of cutting off pursuit or reading double teams well, it is hard to run the ball. Guard play has to improve. Hopefully they will find their grove against the Titans. Simmons will be a good test.
Has there been any word on Tomlinson? I can't see how adding him would hurt the team at all....
With the dearth of decent OL around the league, I have to think he has nothing left or someone would have already picked him up.
Ravens picked him up i believe

Shout out to the OL tonight! Played really well - they've been coming on as the season has progressed.

Gave Purdy plenty of time to throw tonight and plenty of running lanes for CMC. Hell there was even a few where I was like wow what a big lane to run through. If they can play like this every week, watch out!

LOL the OL has their best run blocking game of the year and you guys are already filling in their replacements for next year
Hot take: If the 49ers had taken an OT in the 1st round of this past draft, it would've been a wasted pick for the 2025 season.

The turnaround has been insane.

LOL, well I think drafting a tackle ( with a high pick as well) makes sense given Trents age. Either him or McK get hurt we have a viable backup being groomed for the future etc.
I still want an upgrade at center. Brendel has played decent, but give me a rookie who can be a start anchor for 10-15 years. Dare I say Burford has looked good at left guard. I wish they would have done that sooner..

Trent said he's coming back and got a few (seasons) left in him. Assuming that's true, I don't think we draft a Trent replacement until he actually retires. Lot of needs elsewhere.
