Now Burford is on IR. Connor Colby is hurt I hope he plays. The o line gets inured and depth is not good. Who is going to back up Trent Williams? When he is out is it still a top 10 or 15 line?

I don't know. How many top 10-15 lines lose their LT and their backup LT and are still top 15?

This may or may not be a surprise to you, but OL depth across the NFL is pretty bad....

When your left tackle misses games every year you should have a plan for when he is out.

And I do not care what the rest of the League O line depth is. I care what the 49er depth is and I do not think it's good. it's Game 3 and there already missing a starting guard and backup tackle.

Connor Colby has been a great surprise. I hope he can keep it up.
This Oline is bad.

Trent has seriously declined. He is not the same player. He's still good but not dominant like he was.
Lol PFF about to say they had a good game though.

Yep the oline is baaad. Run game repeatedly getting crushed in the backfield, few holes, and way too much pressure being allowed.

The higher the pile of dead quarterbacks, the higher the grades.

Absolutely, they only started to run the ball effectively when AZ's D-line started to run out of gas in the second half. That 3rd and goal run call to the right side of the line was horrible.
Trent looks bad. He's definitely not coming back next year because he is not going to take the paycut he should.

What was that play where he literally didn't block the guy to his left.

Dude your on the end of there's a guy to your left that's your guy...

Then got wrecked the play right after.
how much longer is Trent under Contract?
A VERY offensive line

After his late training camp shakedown last season, he's on a 1year old renegotiated contract until 2029. The last three years are all void years, so he becomes a UFA after the '26 season.

You might not care what the rest of the NFL OL's are doing, but what I'm saying is the 49ers have an above average OL in the NFL.

If your response is well NFL OL play as a whole in the league isn't great, I wouldn't disagree. Luckily we have what we do, because of you look around the league it could be a lot worse

You're not wrong. The average quality of O-line play is alarmingly poor across the league. In fairness, though, I think it should also be kept in mind that we have years-long habit of using more than the average number of QBs each season.

Our tendency to be a lot more interested in who our backup QB is going to be each season (when compared to other teams) says a lot about the quality of our O-line. On other teams, the backup QB is little more than a novelty. On our team, the backup QB is taken seriously because he regularly contributes meaningfully to the season's outcome. And sometimes it's QB3, too.
Trent, Puni, and even Colby are playing hurt ... they have good plays around 3 bad plays. On the line it only takes one player having a bad down for the team to lose the snap. Maybe next week they will be healthier. I really hope they are working on the backups so they are ready to take over.

The line could be Pleasants, Moss, Brendel, Hennessy, McKivitz next week if things get worse.
