That would be great...Brendel did pretty good on pass pro but his run blocking sucked.

I know it's frustrating to watch sometimes. I hope it's more of we need to play together for a while thing.

I would find it more acceptable if the QB was making the protection calls, and Jones was doing it for the first time, but the guy doing that is Brendel.

You think it's really just emotional from the coach? I don't think that's possible ... all the coaches and players want to win, if Brendel was not clearly the best option at the time Kyle would be hearing it from the other linemen as well as other players and coaches.

I think it's probably that there has been so little practice for the line entirely. One or several of Trent, Bartch, Brendel, and Puni have been limited in practice since the first few days of camp. Not only are they physically struggling, they also are going with limited practice together.

The 49ers have given center snaps to I think 6 or 7 players (other than Brendel) over the last 3 years ... they are looking for an upgrade. When coaches are trying to protect a favorite player they don't tend to try to replace them that much.

I had hope for Nugent but he looked worse this year than last, maybe hope Moss is it. If nothing else I'd like to see more of the backups get time just to see healthy players on the line.

Run blocking is supposed to be the strength of this O line.

I hope so Jonnydel is good at finding those errors. I will watch... it would be great if we can open holes again.
