Trent won't leave 22 mil on table.

His body will

This what I was thinking. Father time has a way of just popping up. Hopefully not though

Maybe. Plenty of players have left the game with money on the table.

Not when they held out for it two years earlier.

Yeah, you think that was about the money. It's about respect for guys like Trent. He'll play as long as he enjoys it and is able. If he gets to the end of this year hating every minute I could see him retiring. He wouldn't be the first.

Based on 1 year Chris Borland walked away from a lot of money.

Alex Rodriguez retired with 2 years left on his deal and lost an estimated $21M.

Barry Sanders retired and walked away from $22M.

Trent's PROBABLY going to play next year, or at least say he's going to play. But it does sometimes happen that players just walk away from the money.

Collins has been pretty bad for a couple years now. Maybe he is better than pleasant or burford but not to the point where it'd make much of a difference. If he's better it's so miniscule as to not matter

Yeah you're right, plus he's probably not worth his price tag
How did we find a Center as good as Drew Moss as an UDFA? Why don't we use him at C also? Because Moss at C and Puni at G would be beastly. This guy blocks hard. His feet and recovery ability are great. Seems powerful and like a good athlete. Good technique too. Would love to see him as our starting C sooner rather than later.

So you liked him at C this preseason?
Barrows hinted that they see Moss as the C of the future.

It would be a coup if we soon enough have Colby, Moss and Puni in the middle of the line.

I believe they played him at Guard in the last game and he played super well. But he has Center experience and we need that. So Moss - C, Puni - G, Colby - G could be our interior for the future. That's a good to great young interior. Now if this team could just find a way to pick OT sometime. As Trent is getting older and McKivitz may leave in free agency. We have huge needs at OT. Yes I see Moss's future at C. Even though he didn't always play there this preseason. It seems to be his future.
Moss may be the center in the near future but he has to get a little more experience in the system. The center calls out the blocking signals to the linemen and Kyle's system isn't easy to learn. Give him a little more time.

He apparently has Center experience in College and also played at Guard. He can play both. They even list him at Center on Wiki. That's his future IMO. He's not going to start ahead of Puni or Colby. So at Center he can play. Because ours is not very good.

He did get snaps at center with the 49ers.

I wish Kyle would let Brock make the calls, then Moss could get in the game faster.

I think he's potentially better than our Center. He mirrors and slides his feet. Looks agile and recovers well. Blocks like a bull. Would love to have him as the C of the future. It can't be worse than what we have.

He's not great or anything, he just has potential to be good enough. He's got short arms which scares most teams away.
