Never great sign to see many OL guys brought in for workouts. Someone must've gotten hurt.

Hoping it's nothing serious.

What if it's for Brendel?

Then that means the other list of available players who have taken snaps at center are not good enough :)

Only one I saw was Prince Tega Wanogho ... he just got healthy I think, and Dillard has yet to do anything.

Promising.
That's a lot of tariffs
Brendy still getting manhandled. A LOT! In practice. NOT A GAME!!
Last year was not a good year for Brendel. The back up I'm guessing is Hennessy who has not really been a starter since 2021 he was a specials teamer in 22 and 24. Burford is Trent William backup and we have all watch him whiff on blocks. I'm saying Depth sucks. There O Line drafting have been spotty to not good. Sure they used a first on McGlinchey and he was not that good. They used a second on Bank, He was ok and he walked. I hope Puni keep improving. Other then Puni is there a younger O line that was draft your looking forward to watching ? Is there any other O line that you see or think can be on the team in 2 or 3 years ? If they had Puni and 2 other guy that I see being starters in 2 or 3 year I would be fine with the line. The o line depth sucks.
The frustration come from Kyle saying he like the o line. He thinks the o line is good. He likes the depth. For me the frustration come from all the third and fourth round pick traded or used to Draft RB and WR. If they used 4 of those pick on the O line I think they would be in much better shape.

Nothing really new to say. Burford, Zakelj, Hennessy/Nugent, Colby/Moss, Pleasants are not anything special, they just want functional.

It seems the 49ers are willing to pay big money for LT and no other positions on the line.

They have been looking at OL in the draft but have been unwilling to reach for the position over players they felt were better than players on the existing roster. Chances are when Trent retires they will replace him with a free agent or a trade if they haven't found an LT by then.

It's possible Puni moves to LT and takes that spot.

McKivitz, if he has his best year, will be gone for being too expensive.

The team has consistently invested practice time at finding a replacement center but Brendel keeps winning the spot. I suspect that habit will keep happening.

Yup. Nobody is overtaking that guy right now. They constantly praise him but it's mind boggling that this is where we are. I want to ask like- in a year, could they see Nugent even on the 53?

I think 5+ players on the roster have taken snaps at center with the 49ers ... it seems clear they know it's a problem, they just haven't found a cheap and better solution to Brendel yet. I had hope for Nugent but I'm losing hope.

I think they like Brendel. I do not think they want to replace Brendel. When was the last time they Drafted a Center? When was the last time they drafted a guard that can play Center? Most of the O line they draft are Tackle they see as a Guard.

Yeah they ignore the offensive line and it shows.
