Eagles defense had far more to do with their record than their OL. Saw it yesterday.
Cant have an awful defense anymore than an awful OL.

Both trenches need to be strong and those are probably our two weakest units outside ST at the moment.
Need to get better at both.

I'd love to see them sign Dalton Risner in FA and put him at LG. Nice, affordable veteran option that locks down one spot. Has experience in similar offensive schemes.
Vikings RG Dalton Risner would be the perfect FA signing/fit for the Bengals.

Here is where PFF ranks him in pass blocking grade on true pass sets in his career (among eligible Gs):
2024: 7/78
2023: 23/85
2022: 21/83
2021: 26/88
2020: 13/92
2019: 28/88
Exactly what they need.

Has there ever been any talk about Puni at Center, I know he took reps there at the combine etc? I was wondering if we cant find a viable upgrade, move him there, plug this guy in at RG. We got TW one more year. I think Kyle CAN scheme around Mcstinky, but we must have a center (I assume nothing with the draft at this point)

He was never right about wanting to spend elite compensation on a guard. Puni says hi.
I don't think there was a single person in here that said don't invest in the OL. Love NC, but he was arguing with himself about a lot of it.

Puni might move at LG at most. He's not a center at almost 6-6. No point in moving him around.
Ryan Kelly is a FA. He's been a quality vet center with a ton of experience. I would guess that's a guy they would like to take a look at.
Colton was fine last yr. Better than expected and under contract. I know folks want OL early and often in the draft, I just don't see those blue chip OTs this yr. IMO DL is probably where they should go.

Banks is pretty blue chip for the 9ers. Ersery would also be intriguing if they move down.
Get McCoy out of New Orleans.

I agree on guards, but we need a real center and tackles get paid. So yes the trick is finding guards via the draft. If you hit a grand slam then worry about money 5 years later etc.

Good to know. The issue is FA linemen usually have inflated prices, but they put themselves in this position.

I agree that people are going to be disappointed in the draft expecting several oline. I am curious about how they feel Zaklj is progressing I thought he played really well at guard and when he was added there was talk of him being the center of future. I wonder if he showed enough to be considered as a starter. I also thought Heck and Pleasants played well at tackle. Heck is unrestricted but pleasants is ERFA so he could be back cheaply. And then you have Bartch and Moore both unrestricted do they plan on bringing either back? I feel some of those guys played well enough that they would definitely consider signing and it starts getting crowded. Just have to see how it plays out.

That in no way answers the challenge I proposed.
Goff has never been a guy who takes that many sacks dating back to his days on the Rams. There is no evidence the Lions' offensive line made him better. Remember, he initially looked great on the Rams too.

Center through FA and RT in Draft.
Trent/Zeitler/Myers or Dalman/Puni/ Draft
That should be a solid line for Purdy.

Drew Dalman is an up and coming C due to be a free agent. He's a mauler not the best in pass protect though.
