this. letting the cowboys get their filthy hands on hailey hurt us and gave them 2 or 3 rings. replaying the lost superbowl or the nfc championship game with the giants would also be nice.

1. Trading Charles Haley to our #1 rival to get to the superbowl, the cowboys. If we couldn't make it work with him we should have traded him to a weak afc team and not the friggin cowboys.
2. Eddie D getting himself ousted as the owner
3. Ricky Waters fumble vs the cowboys for a superbowl bid. We had the lead and the ball driving in their territory.
4. Signing Deion Sanders to a 1 yr prove yourself deal. What did he have to prove? The best CB in football would have signed a 4-5 yr deal that was affordable because he wanted to play on a winner. We should have had him for 4 more years.
5. Kyle Williams punt returner extroidenaire.
6. Not trading back some spots and getting an extra 2nd rounder and picking Aaron Rodgers.
7. New Refs for the Championship game vs the Redskins. We were down by less than a TD and had scored on multiple straight possessions. Lott cuts in front and picks the ball off. We are headed for the go ahead score. Ref calls interference because he brushed the receivers shoulder when he cut in front and their jerseys touched. Really? Later on the drive Lott picks the ball off again in the endzone and the increadibly stupid refs call interference again (once agin because their jerseys touched) and gave the skins the ball at the 1. They score. We drove for a TD but by then we were out of time.
The calls were so bad they changed the rules in the offseason to allow DB's the right to go for the ball so those horrible calls wouldn't happen to anyone else but by then we were already screwed out of another superbowl. You know the calls suck when they have to change the rules to avoid them being called again.
8. Cowboys recover onside kick at the end of a playoff game and Staubach drives them for the winning score. That cost us our 1st superbowl trip back in the days of John Brodie and Gene Washington.
9. Garrison Hearst injured at the beginning of the playoff game
10. Kap interception vs Seattle in the championship game. Never should have thrown the ball> Patton was wide open on the left side.
Honourable mention. Drafting AJ Jenkins. Trading multiple 1st rounders for Jim Plunkett and then cutting him so he could win superbowls for the Raiders. Drafting Jim Drunkenstupid. The only good thing he ever did was date Juli Cialini, the playmate of the year.

I would re-do the bonehead play that Culliver and Whitner made that left Jacoby Jones wide open and took it in for a TD with 22 sec left before halftime.

The pass to Crabs in the NFC championship against the She-hawks. Watching Sherman run his mouth still irks me!

Tough call. Either:
NFC championship game in January 2012 game redo. Team was much better than the giants and it took 2 PR fumbles and an inexplicable forward progress whistle to keep them out of the SB. If they make the title game, good chance they win, and either way it's likely that Smith remains the starter throughout the following season.
or
Niners/Rams, November 11, 2012. The beginning of the collapse of the current team, Smith gets hit in the head-neck on a fluke play, Kap comes in, and the dominos start to fall that end the Harbaugh era and turn the team into its current laughingstock status. Replay that game, Smith doesn't get hurt, Kap never comes in.
Either way the dynamics of the team never change and we avoid the current catastrophe.
