He is just sick and tired of the non-stop crap ever since the firing of Harbaugh. Probably no better time than to leave/retire now. Frank will be gone, Cowboy might not be back, might as well. The organization is like a train wreck now. I don't blame him, just a shame really.

Good for him, P-52 will forever be one of my favorite men to don the red & gold. Wish he would play another 2-3 seasons while still at the top of his game, but I'm glad he won't be one of these guys who held on too long and is physically destroyed from the violent nature of the game. We have been blessed to watch him play, and we will never have to witness the erosion of his skill and talent. PWilly, whatever you pursue in life you have my best wishes and the thank you so much for all of the great memories.

did verbs nephew tell you that? how about it is just as simple as his church or he feels that his toe thing prevents him from playing at a high level,, the nfl has a history in regards to this stuff,,
