49ers released WR Stevie Johnson. The move will save San Francisco $6.025 million against the 2015 salary cap. Acquired from Buffalo for a fourth-round pick last May, Johnson posted a 35/435/3 line in his lone season in San Francisco. A crisp route runner, Johnson had three straight 1000-yard receiving seasons under new Jets OC Chan Gailey while the pair were in Buffalo. He should find a healthy market as a solid possession receiver. So, let me try to remember back a month or so. One of the supposed knocks on Tomsula is that players and coaches would not hitch their wagon to his. He got Logan, Jarryd Hayne. Remains to be seen if his D Line rep could help land Dockett. Seems like the Tomsula connections are paying more dividends than people thought?

No matter whom they bring in or cut for WR you need someone to throw the ball to them at least 5 to 7 times a game , we are a running team , they ( dork, Ballake & tommy ) want our QB to run the ball more than throw it . We need more TE's to block for running . Just saying
