the changes we have made are for the better in my opinion. but of course you are bound and determined to bury this team before you even see them play a pre season game. you got to start somewhere and reading mini camp reports and hearing from the players themselves, they must agree with me. of course the positive news does not fit your agenda so continue to throw cold water and discredit it to your hearts content

i just happen to like all the players we signed, i am fine with every player we got rid of. that is the starting point for me. i do not believe in cherry picking a piece of video to show how much a guy sucks when he was in a different uniform. i could care less what our coaches this year did before they got here. i choose to be a optimist based upon reports from camp on how receptive the players have been to the changes, the new fellow players and new coaches. i am a half full glass person in regards to our team this year. i was also disgusted by last year and feel there is no way it could get worse. now you have a different view, without seeing a pre season game and i just disagree. i also find it amusing how you refuse to accept the smallest piece of good news from camp. its like you have willed yourself to have a closed mind because of your blind loyalty to a coach no longer here
I'm hoping for the best during the season. The FO has given me reason to doubt. I'm cool with some of the players we signed. Others I don't like. I'm not happy about losing Frank Gore. I'm not happy about losing 12 starters. The HC had to go, fine. To tell me Jim Tomsula was the best guy for the job is a little crazy to me. Of all the coaches in the world Jim Tomsula who's been a line coach for 10 years without a promotion is the best guy. I find that odd.
All I can do sitting here is hope things turn out good. I am not going to bow down and agree or like everything that has happened just because I've been a fan of this team for 30 years.
I think this is a perfectly fair stance TBH. There are many things to raise an eyebrow to. Many reasons to, at best, be very cautiously optimistic (even pessimistic at times). More questions than answers right now.
But to question the moves that were made that NOW are
old news is fine but it also must be balanced with acknowledging that many of those moves that were made were made by individual coaches and players themselves: Fangio choosing to leave if he wasn't made HC or given the HC he personally wanted, RayMac's debacle, Aldon's immaturity/addiction, Borland and A.Davis deciding on their own to retire, Harbaugh burning his own bridges down along with several surrounding villages, Gore choosing to leave for one last shot, Justin/Willis choosing to retire, Andy Lee, etc. The FO is literally given sh!t for every single (perceived negative) move made and that is not only irresponsible but frankly, immature. It's weak and brainless.
But most of this is in the past now...if not all of it. The reports NOW are that we've got some serious weapons on offense, defense, serious depth at the mass majority of the positions, there are fierce camp battles going on right now, we now have insight into offensive and defensive philosophies, even special teams (Pinion), etc.
The team is taking shape and building off a former identity (the successes from it) but cleaning it up and adding a few more bells and whistles to it (clearly).
I think if the dooms-dayers can put the blind hate down for a second, stop living in the past for a second, there is way more evidence (right now) to get excited about. After all, we ALL agreed on all the issues we had under the former regime. This new regime seems to attacking every single one of those issues right out of the gate!
If you are genuinely a fan of this TEAM, these reports should be pretty encouraging at the very least for you no matter what camp you are in. It's still way early but it sure sounds like the train is moving now and most importantly, moving forward faster and faster on the correct tracks.
