Didn't understand the anger from Edelman. He had a heck of a game but Brady over Montana? b***h please. And it irks me that NFL Network are all over the Brady bandwagon too.
He did it in a different era where the QB was protected! And even though I think deflategate is nonsense, Spygate for sure must be an asterisk against the last 4 Bowl wins.
He's great, HoF, but he's not on Montana's level. He surpassed 11TDs but that came in 1.5 as many Bowl games and with a load of picks. MONTANA WAS 11-0 in 4 games. He's the greatest of all time.
This is why I was rooting for SEA

Critcism of Niner greats like this should be verboten on the forums.

F Seattle. 49ers winning the superbowl is the only feeling that could surpass the feeling I felt when watching Seattle lose in Cheater Bowl 49, in the fashion that they did. In fact, I almost cried for joy when seeing the expression on Sherman's face change as he watched their last offensive play on the big screen. My only wish is to have seen it from a front view instead of the side view that we got.
As far as Tom Brady tying Montana in superbowl wins and surpassing him in TD passes, it don't mean much. Montana is undefeated in the superbowl. Montana has no INT's in the superbowl. Montana never needed a kicker to win his superbowls. Montana played in a time where QB's were actually football players. Let's face it, if a defender even looks at a QB wrong, these days, the refs throw a flag. Me personally, I don't care what the rest of the world thinks, Montana is still the greatest ever. If someone someday is worthy of taking the crown, I will gladly aknowledge them. But until that day, I will argue the point until I'm blue in the face.

I was conflicted when the Superbowl teams got decided. Which was the lesser of the evils? Having Brady tie Montana? Or having the Seahawks repeat?
I went with Brady on the basis I just cannot stomach seeing that bunch of PED-addled idiots get another ring.

NO. Technically Steve Young HAS 3 SB rings. He won one. Montana gifted him the other two.

Montana wouldn't have been in the position to win a Superbowl had it not been for Young, and his backup QB play.

Sure, Young had that highlight reel run against the Vikings during the 1988 season but let's not forget how Young screwed the pooch against the Neil Lomax led Phoenix (later Arizona) Cardinals and the Los Angeles Raiders. He was like the Seahawks that season 1-2. And the 1989 season? He never started. He came in during garbage time after Montana had sewn up the games. I am not trying to minimize his contributions here. He was a very capable back-up. But, at the same time, let's not overstate his impact.

Thank you. The Niners don't even GET to the Super Bowl in 1988 without Young's epic TD scramble against the Vikings.

Edelman is just mad because he knows he will never get the stats that Jerry Rice has even if he played for 30 years. To set it start about the Montana-Brady issue. Joe threw TD passes to win all of his game with an average winning score of 19 points. Brady's games were won by an average of 3.3 points. Two of Brady's games were won by the kicker and the last was won by the defense. No comparison!

How do you win a game that you don't start or even play in? I must be confused.
