1987 at Cincy. Last second TD to Rice, it prevented an 0-2 start and was the last game before the '87 player strike.

Nice!! Been finding a few of these old Niner games on YouTube. Made sure to download them before they get removed.

I've been doing the same. I've probably got about 30-35 niner games saved on my CPU. I absolutely love watching the old games. IMO, football was at its absolute peek in the early to mid 90s. I just loved how everything wasn't a damn shotgun and our offense from the 80s to 90s is what made me love football.

Definitely. Especially these 80's games are gold to me. I missed out, born late 80's, so it's awesome to be able to watch games from the greatest era in Niners history.

That has got to be the only time in his coaching career that Bill Walsh actually skipped down the field with players. Priceless.

on regular you tube,, there is a 4 minute highlight of the niners 1972 game with the vikings. when last years depression with our team got to much i would watch that and everytime, brodie would fake the run and hit gene washington down the field for a score,, i kept wondering why our team would not even try that. thank god for the changes.

Brodie was awesome. He'd get beaten up and bloodied badly on Sunday and then go out to Harding and shoot a 72 the next day like nothing happened.

ironic,
I was just watching the 1985 NFC championship game vs the Bears at Candlestick..
After the game, it was really nice to watch our young secondary.. that secondary IMO was second to none.. everyone can cover, everyone can hit..

1990 NFC divisional vs Was. Would be Joe's last playoff win for the niners. WCO vs Gibbs Coryell offense. For those not familiar with Gibbs offense, pay attention to all of the shifts and motions.

1989 vs NE. Lots going on in this game. Game was played at Stanford because of the earthquake. Jeff Fuller suffers a terrible injury on like the second play of the game. Steve has to take over for an injured joe. Also this was an NBC game and Bill Walsh was an announcer.

Youre very welcome.....I figure they fit in perfectly in this history thread. Nothing like watching the WCO in action with either Joe or Steve orchestrating it.

Great game, and also if that date is correct my 8th birthday.
Unfortunately living in NYC means I missed this game.
Hopefully the birthday vibes are strong and we kick the Steelers ass this year too!

I'm the same way, I love rewatching full broadcasts instead of the highlight films. I don't have nearly that many games saved, but I try to rip videos from YouTube asap. Sadly the 49ers aren't as well represented on YouTube as far as full games go.

1990 at Cincy. Cross country trip after the Monday night win over Giants.
