God I hope he picks Eddie D. Ive always felt Charles to be a 49er at heart that just got traded to the Cowgirls. When He came back in 98' for the playoffs I cannot tell people what that meant to me because Haley was My 2nd alltime Favorite 49er defensive player of all time. He was great from the start as a rookie even.

remember on the first play in the playoff game,, he was not the player he was but he drew a double team right away.. john madden went nuts yelling that charles haley has not done a thing and he is already causing problems!!

fine he could not exist with tim harris, fine he hated young and siefert but to the cowboys?? i still think we should have countered and traded young to the chiefs for derrick thomas, kept montana, groomed bono but thats a whole other story

I have always played the what if game,,, what if haley could have been willing to share the spotlight with tim harris. can you imagine the pass rush we could have had with those two? good lord. roger certainly does deserve it. did he not set a nfl record for all purpose yards in our 84 super bowl team? sure his last couple of years were forgettable after he left us but its not like kurt warner, where there is some big huge hole right in the middle of his career when he did nothing. oh and people better not bring up what i think some may bring up when it comes to why he should not be in the hall of fame
