I think he has the 3rd spot secured if he keeps practicing the way he is...he still has his speed
On the field:
3 speed guys
1 crafty possession guy
And a rb in the flat
Looks real good so far
Was VD one of the speed guys? Was it 11 personnel (1hb, 1te, 3wr) or 10 personnel (1hb, 0te, 4wr)?
I meant on the field in the reg season so many weapons
T smith
Simpson
Davis
Boldin
Hyde/bush

I got ya...and I agree. Should be really interesting. I love the thought of having a true X WR in Smith with speed and can catch. Should be able to attack defenses at all levels now. You have smith split backside with speed, VD controlling the Hash with speed, speed in the slot and now Speed in the backfield that can catch.

Who ever is responsible for Gabbart's improvement did a fine job.

This is the biggest indictment of Harbaugh and Roman to me - lack of hot reads and lack of screens. There is no way in hell a professional QB takes 52 sacks when those options are there!
Also, don't forget Simpson! I think he's a great under the radar FA pickup!
Compared to the WCO the hot reads are almost nonexistant in JH's offense but they are available at times. Not sure Walsh ever had a play without a hot read...probably forgetting...![]()
Gore became very proficient being the outlet but they seldom called his number...or CK didn't use him. I believe Kaepernick is use to being the outlet himself using his legs and didn't see the need to check down. Might have also read the criticism of the former QB for checking down and figured to avoid the negativity. Bush should be much better than Gore was in gaining larger chunks of years with his speed, so perhaps CK will learn to trust him...and use him.
i believe it was instructions.
whenever we got criticized for something in the media, the following week we would magically be able to do it.
i just think ck was running the offense and hitting the people that they wanted him to. i don't think he deviated from the plan one bit.
which in the wrong hands isn't a good thing.
hopefully in these hands its an incredible thing.

Logan is a touchy feely guy.
I'm ok with it. Mainly if it helps calm down our QBs.

He's similar to Tomsula...very upbeat but I wouldn't want to get him mad! That folksy southern charm can be very lethal! LOL!

If only we had a hot read in the Superbowl...against a zero blitz.

Love the skill positions. If the O-Line holds up and gives Kap the time, Geep's offense can be dangerous.

news flash on CBS sports and yahoo sportrs: 49ers are screwed, having lost their HC, OC, and DC.
Well, starting at OC, i would say we are about 150% better at at OC than we could ever have hoped with romn. At HC, really? Harbs lost his team over 2 yrs ago. And he was a zero as far as game planning and playcalling went. DC? Sure fangio had a top 5 D for last 3 or 4 yrs, but man was it ever stacked with all pros at DL and LB. Unfortunately, fangio didn't like blitzing all that much, and hence IMO, we blitzed half of what we should have. Well mangini showed us some blitzes yesterday and i loved them. We are worse off with our new coaching staff? I don't think so. We got twice as good getting rid of coaches who couldn't (coach) and added a bunch of talented guys who can.
And no, we are not screwed with loss of our top 3 coaches. We got massively better at every slot. What are they doing , reading the cohns?

I just hope the networks, the clone announces and the the writers who do zero research keep knocking us!
Great motivation to kick their teeth in [figuratively of course]

ok, but 6 of last 7 drives were three and out. That's on the offensive brain trust. They need to do a lot better this week.
