He has a strength of character in his speaking that comes across very well...and clear. I doubt Tomsula hired Logan without thinking about how to marry him with Geep effectively. That was one of the keys for Tomsula in Europe and he stressed that comaraderie at his press conference. If one has to go it just might be Geep...which may be one reason Logan's hiring came before Geeps. They are likely working out the details of the offense as we type so that they can be united at mini camp. Playcalling is what I'll be curious about...does Geep use Logan, share with Logan...ignore Logan? Hope they don't do one of those group think playcalling systems--may Roman have taken that him to Buffalo!

Supposedly Logan is going to help with the passing game.
Kap is one of the most teachable players in the league. If he tells him to do something he will do it.

Yeah. Notice how CK is MUCH more personable and himself now that Harbaugh is gone?

I think Harbaugh took it with him to Michigan. I hope that Geep is the only one calling the plays. They can have everyone design plays, that doesn't matter. But on gameday, it should be one person in charge of playcalling. This is the best way for the playcaller to get a feel for how the game is going. Of course, Tomsula can say something like, "I want to attack the weakside LB, he's not having a good game today". Geep should be the one to dial up the specific play.

Reflection of instructions received. I never blamed him for being how he was. Harbaugh was always on the trusted agent don't give them anything say as little as possible thing. I never had a problem with it I just figured he was following how his coaches wanted him to be.
We haven't been this hyped for a QB coach in a long while.

Logan seems legit.

I've read that Roman has already installed the split playcalling in Buffalo! So both Buffalo and Michigan! Yeah...neither team is one of my favorites! LOL! I agree that one guy should call the plays and whether it's Geep or Logan, may the football gods be with them!
It's nice seeing him draw up an old bill walsh staple play. Looks a lot like good ole Z-in.

1994 49ers Z-in

Anyways, kinda cool to see him draw up an old school staple play.

Side note lol: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/02/11/jeff-garcia-to-interview-for-rams-quarterbacks-coach-position/

Since retiring from football in his 40s, former CFL, NFL, and UFL quarterback Jeff Garcia has tried plenty of things, from working in the media to working as an agent to working as a private tutor for quarterbacks to becoming a consultant for the Montreal Alouettes to becoming their quarterbacks coach during the 2014 season. Garcia will now give coaching in the NFL formal attempt.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Garcia will interview for the quarterbacks coach position with the Rams. The vacancy has arisen due to the expected promotion of Frank Cignetti to the position of offensive coordinator.

Garcia, who threw for more than 43,000 yards in 17 seasons as a pro quarterback, drew positive reviews for his work with Montreal. As a player, Garcia's biggest NFL success came with the 49ers. Garcia also played for the Browns, Lions, Eagles (twice), and Buccaneers.

The Rams seem to be preparing for an open competition at the quarterback position, with injured starter Sam Bradford getting a chance at reclaiming the job after his second ACL tear in two seasons. First, he'll have to restructure a contract that pays him nearly $13 million in 2015.

If Garcia gets the job, he may want to hang onto the Southern California estate he reportedly was trying to sell last year for $7.75 million. If the Rams move back to L.A., Garcia can move back in to the mansion.
"When I stand before my maker and he says 'What did you do with the young men that I gave you to work with? I'm going to look my creator in the eye and say 'I didn't screw them up."
- Steve Logan

He won me over with that quote. As a fellow educator, I appreciate the subtle humor. I see great things with him as Kap's mentor.
I do have one question. With all of this knowledge, why isn't he OC instead of QB coach?

i would much rather him be QB coach than OC. he's already going to help develop the passing plays so we'll be ok there but I want him to be in Kap's ears constantly working just as hard as Kap is on all of the things that's been missing. Chryst did an OK job with what he was probably allowed to do. It's a new day, Chryst dial up the plays get us some points. Logan constantly review film his footwork precision and unscripted scenarios.

Kap by all accounts is a sponge it's time he soaks up things that will make him incredible it's starting now with Warner and will immediately continue with logan. I'm excited
Wish I could read Boldin and Gore's minds as the offense is installed next camp. Those two, along with Staley, have seen many offenses and systems so would be able to evaluate the Chryst/Logan offense fairly quickly. Will they be saying, "Damn...this is really good!" or "Haven't we seen this before?" Or perhaps something in between.

Really? I haven't seen much of him since the off-season started? Do you have examples?

He actually isn't saying anything that is profound when it comes to football strategy. He whiteboarded some common concepts that every NFL coach should know. What I like is his delivery and how assertive he is. He seems like a hardass that also will listen and connect with the player(s). He's been out of the league for over 3 years so there would be quite some ramp up time to go from out of the NFL straight to OC. I know he's been doing radio segments that require him to be familiar with the current state of the NFL teams, but that's nothing compared to actually being in the league and involved with game planning.

Yeah, CK had a talk with his dad...was it prior to the second to last game of the season? I believe Young also talked to him and stated that he needed to loosen up and represent the "face of the franchise better" which is an indirect shot at Harbaugh. From that, you could see him looser on the field and every interview I've seen since then, seems like a more relaxed, genuine CK and certainly, more personable (where he used to be short, almost combative...basically, he was being Harbaugh). I've seen a big difference. Anyone else?
