For those of you who are wondering how this roster can go 2-14...

Talent means very little at this level becaus all the players in the nfl are highly skilled. The difference between being able to maximize talent and make it show up in the stat sheet is scheme and execution as a team.

Talent only shows when the team is performing in sync and following a solid game plan. What we will most likely will see next year is a few great individual performances but ultimately little team cohesion and loses piling up. Players are going to want out of SF and therefore start focusing on themselves.

Look at the patriots. Lousy roster playoffs every year.
Lions: high draft picks for 30 years and loaded rosters but zero accomplishments in post season.
Bengals: same story for most of the 90's and early 2k
Arizona: perennial loser until they had a decent coach.

49ers: sucked nuts for ten years until with the same roster harbaugh turns it around.

There's a reason these guys(Tomsula,Christ,Mangini) were not holding higher positions under JH now all of a sudden they are the geniuses that are gonna lead us to the next Sb? Keep dreaming. We are f'd til York sells or dies.

6-8 wins last in the division.

It really doesn't matter how many games they win his year. We could have a better record this year (fricken doubt it) and it wouldn't matter because of the residual winning attitude Harbaugh left amongst the players and all the injured players coming back. What matters is that it will be a downward slide after that as players leave in FA and the identity of an elite team starts to fade away very, very fast. Tomsula will be fired eventually, Baalke would probably be next and the team starts from scratch. So even if, and that's a huge if, Tomsula has a better record next year, he won't be able to sustain it because he's riding the coattails of a top 3-4 coach in the league.
