This hurts. I can't believe this ownership has done this. Get rid of best head coach in last 20 years. Lose the best defensive coordinator we've had in 20+ seasons. Promote a cheap d-line yes man to head coach. Surreal. I cant' believe I am living this AGAIN for the second time in a decade. I can't stand Baalke and his mediocre drafts. Can't stand York and his mediocre stadium. I can't believe what they have done to our team. Shameful.

Actually there is no resemblance between now and the TDon years. The drafts aren't mediocre and the stadium isn't mediocre either. Hopefully the hysteria will die down here eventually.

A definition of a mediocre stadium is on in which you have no home field advantage at all, no noise whatsoever, poor turf, and you can't have Monday Night or Thursday Night Football...plus it is not even in San Francisco.

So how do we hold Jed accountable if we don't win a SB next year?

Follow him around when he goes out drinking, catch him saying something brazenly racist, take that s**t to tmz and force the Yorks to sell the team.

LOL...might work!

But there was a Thursday Night game just this last season.
Officially. Who knows yet. That was an 8 year stretch which we went 8-8 once and 7-9 3x. Cant really say now but maybe in 2 or 3 years but for all the doom and gloom people wouldnt we already be there

My bad...but the Stadium still stinks...where is our 12th man? Looking at their IPads and eating Jungle Fruit in the clubs
The better question is whether this dark age will last longer than the last one.

But it is ok as Jed York prefers to lose with class rather than win.
Whatever happened to "let's see what this guy's got" before you condemn him? Talk about knee-jerk reactions...that's pretty amateurish in my book. Justin Smith, Anquan Boldin, Alex Boone, Vernon Davis and Steve Mariucci think he's the man for the job. Do you think these stalwart players and our former head coach don't know what they're talking about? I'd say they know a lot more about Tomsula than any of you haters.

Agree, even though I was pretty depressed by this event. My problem, and likely others, is that offense is the basic problem of the team and they ignored that in their HC. Leadership is the main quality for a HC though and if Tomsula can be surrounded by competent assistants perhaps we will all be surprised.

Some of the negative comments are just silly, while some are vial...theats, etc.

We've never had a 12th man. It was never insanely rocking at Candlestick. I was at every game for the last 16 years there and while we were able to get loud at some points, it was never some huge advantage. And I'm the guy standing and cheering and trying to get people going the whole time. lol

To be honest, I think this time around it has the potential to last longer than the last one until we change HC again.
Jeez, I get wanting to get rid of all the offensive coaches minus Rathman but why would you get rid of Donatell, Leavitt, and Jackson who all have done a terrific job. So we lose Harbaugh, Fangio, Leavitt, Jackson but on a bright side we get rid of Roman and the O staff and maybe we get Justin Smith for another year which at this point not sure is even that great of a consolation prize because he might just be getting in the way of Carradine, Dial, Williams, rookie. I like Tomsula and that rah rah stuff might work for a season or 2 but I think we took a big step back with coaches. We got Jason Tarver back at least. Maybe we should bring in Raye or Knapp or Hostler for OC. Billy Davis for co-dc with Tarver?

People seem to think that Candlestick was super loud, it wasnt. The loudest I remember it was in 2003 vs the Giants in the playoffs.
I'm trying to be rational after going through the shock of losing the best thing that's happened to the franchise in 20 years and now the Tomsula hiring. These moves are beyond stupidity. They are backward moves pure and simple.
