Right. Because reading something unpopular with the fan base makes a person a troll. Okay.

You're giving guys like TK way too much power.

Okay, writing something unpopular, by itself, isn't what makes a writer a troll IMO. I'm tired of going into details about these guys. I don't click on Kawakami, either of the Cohens or Killion. I'd just rather not support them. If you don't think they're trolling Niner fans, you're welcome to your opinion.

I actually misread you. I thought you were implying that readers of the articles were trolls - my mistake!
The TK comments could point to past coaches being bitter if Tomsula cooperated with management when Harbaugh and others didn't. When you have a division like the one that lasted all year it's easy to see this type of petty stuff coming up. I suppose Tomsula could be a bad guy but he doesn't strike me as one. Perhaps Tomsula supported using the new locker room when Harbaugh was opposed. Or maybe a hundred other things!

Kawakami bringing it up again and again leads me to believe he is doing so to sell papers and keep the issue alive for that purpose. Is it going to last all year? Or until Tomsula is eventually fired...no matter how many years that may be? I use to like reading TK but haven't for some time. I do miss some of the old writers who had more integrity.
Tomsula has been with the Niners since 2007, four years before they hired Harbaugh. Why would it be surprising that he had good relationships with anyone in the organization or that he was talking to anyone about anything?

That's all he ever does.

Jim Tomsula suggested Thursday that if former 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh had an issue with him, he should have picked up the phone to discuss the matter.

Instead, Harbaugh recently spoke fondly of the "loyal coaches" from his previous staff. He seemed to suggest that Tomsula was not in that category. In a podcast hosted by Tim Kawakami of the Mercury News, Harbaugh was asked if he believed Tomsula was setting himself up last season to replace Harbaugh.

"That's a good question for him, better than to me," Harbaugh said.

Tomsula was asked about the perception he was campaigning for the job, which is a belief among some of the assistant coaches that lost their jobs with the 49ers this offseason, according to sources.

"OK, well, first of all, there's nothing to that, and it's ridiculous," Tomsula said at the NFL Scouting Combine. "OK? Second of all, if anybody needs to talk, just give me a buzz. OK? That's all."

Tomsula did not mention Harbaugh at the press conference on Jan. 15 after being named as the head coach. But Tomsula said that slight was not an indication of a working relationship that had eroded.

"For me, no," he said. "Jim Harbaugh and his staff, which I was part of, won a lot of football games for the San Francisco 49ers. Great job. There's no disputing any of that. I don't have a negative word to say about any of that. It was all positive. We all didn't get it done last year at 8-8.

"I guess that's where I'm at with it. I don't see where there's something there. I don't see it."

Tomsula was speculated to be the top candidate from within the 49ers' staff for the past year. CEO Jed York and general manager Trent Baalke were known to hold Tomsula in high regard since Mike Nolan hired him as defensive line coach in 2007. He served as the 49ers' interim head coach for the final game of 2010 after Mike Singletary was fired.

Tomsula was one of 10 candidates for the job. The 49ers interviewed Vic Fangio, Adam Gase, Dan Quinn, Mike Shanahan, Doug Marrone, Todd Bowles, Josh McDaniels, Rex Ryan and Teryl Austin. Tomsula was chosen over Gase, the former Denver Broncose offensive coordinator.

"I really wasn't sure exactly how it was going to go, to be quite honest," Tomsula said. "And then I got offered the job. As it went on, you're looking into it. When I went back and had the second interview, (I thought) 'I might be in this.' "

Harbaugh suggested that Tomsula be asked about rumor discussed.

Tomsula was asked the question and he answered it.

Ex-Seahawks DC Dan Quinn was "thrilled" to interview with 49ers and did not reveal any secrets in the process.

Ironically, I'm sure everyone knows this, Tim Kawakami replaced Skip Bayless (when he left for ESPN) as the lead sports columnist for the Mercury News.

Ironically I don't know if that's truly ironic.

And that's why people saying he was hired because he's a "Yes Man" are so full of s**t. Was there anyone on the coaching staff last year that had been with the team longer than him?

Ironic: happening in the opposite way to what is expected; typically causing amusement.

This is one of my pet peeve words along with anxious. I was cursed with the inability to spell worth two licks but the gift of proper grammar and robust vocabulary.

Ironic and anxious are two of the most inappropriately utilized words to describe instance.

I'll shut up now.

Fact is, Harbaugh's whole offensive staff had to be "yes men" to allow that abomination to see the light of day!!!!!

Seriously, what Harbaugh and crew put on the field is what OC's joke about during the week to tweak the HC.
