These players have been on the brink of winning it all and they are not going to respect some arrogant little s**t with no Super Bowls like Josh MacDaniels or a Gase that have never won anything on their own. The only thing they will respect is someone that has been there and done that and won't take any crap from them. And that's Mike Shanahan. He won two SBs already. He's proven that he won't take crap from the GM or the players when he benched RGIII. Plus his blocking schemes can make Gore, Hyde, and Kendall potential 1,000 yard rushers every year. He has experience with mobile QBs like John Elway & RGIII (his first year when he was healthy). He would give Fangio total control of his Defense, which might make him happy enough to stay. Plus Shanahan will eventually retire and Fangio could be his replacement ala Walsh/Seifert for continuity.

Like Kubiak as on OC... not so much as HC.
