What about Terry Kirby?
When the thread started out it seemed like we only 4 RB dating back to the 80s but as you peel the onion back you see that we have had many more and are inline with most organizations going through backs

1) Roger Craig <-- Game breaker, big time RB, but only lasted 5-6 years because he took a beating breaking tackles
2) Frank Gore <-- Great for 20-30 yards but a slow patient RB that runs out of gas
3) Ricky Watters <-- Big mouth, selfish player but ran, caught and had speed
4) Garrison Hearst <-- loved his punishing style but often injured and didn't last long enough

Kirby was more of a full back..same as William Floyd..but I'm who mentioned we only had about 6 actual number 1 rbs in 30 yrs..maybe a couple more but most being mentioned are back ups who did nothing..

sorry Dad, it's gore. It's not because he is most recent, it's Frank '8 in the box' Gore.

Craig and Gore are close, but Gore has been too consistant not to get the top spot.
This.
Yes sir this is exactly correct.

Are you thinking of Terry Jackson, the HB/FB/Teams guy?
I remember Terry Kirby as part of the two-headed Loville/Kirby monster that Gilbert Brown and friends ate for lunch.
