Has our window closed?

This front office is in total denial. Baalke has no idea yet how badly he has pissed away the last three drafts. Harbaugh makes for a decent scapegoat, but the jig will be up next year when we get the true verdict on the 2013 and 2014 drafts. We had beaucoup picks....but he lost the crap shoot on a significant number of them. Enough to the point that the the talent inflow is not enough to compensate for the talent outflow.

This offseason will also see a huge exodus of talent as well. Baalke's picks will be on the spot to perform and pick up the slack.

Roman is running Harbaugh's offense (and yes, he does get part of the blame).

However, Jim doesn't believe that Roman is doing anything wrong (this is where Jim's stubborness comes into play) and flat refuses to relieve Greg of his playcalling duties.

If Harbaugh goes, Roman does too. I don't know what happens to Fangio. I think they will ask him to stay...he may not want to, and I don't blame him.

Hell no!!!! Now, if Fangio and staff leave, then maybe.

We have some of the best players on both offense and defense and I hate to see that talent go to waste. We've come so close and I feel like the offense is holding us back. We're predictable, we rely on our defense to keep the score manageable. Gore can run with the best of them but Kap can't throw with enough accuracy to make him a threat, regardless of how mobile he is. Part of it is on him and part of it is on the play calling.

This window has closed, but I think a new one will open soon (maybe next year with competent offensive coaches )

and after george left people were shook to the core when we hired an outsider and doom and gloom was predicted but mooch, still TO became TO continued on pretty well, it can go either way

IMO there really isnt a closed or open anymore. Look where we were before Harbaugh and in his first year WITH ALEX SMITH we went to the NFCCG NO ONE expected that. All it takes is the right guy to lead us and we can get right back there.

Look at DET this year. mediocre they hire Caldwell (who also took over midseason to help take Balt to the superbowl) Bruce arians in ARI. All it takes is getting the right guy for our team.

Jim Harbaugh isnt the end all be all. While i wish we couldve kept him its clear we are not.

So to answer your question... our window is as open as the coach that climbs through it

Movie? The script hasn't even been written yet and trailer hasn't been drafted. Your fear is understandable but like most fears, there is no rationality tied to them in the end. Let's just let things play out first and see where we go.

It closed the second kap threw that pass on 1st and 10 from the 18 yardline during last season's NFC Championship Game.
