You guys really think it's ALL Peyton Manning, knowing game time situations, players personnel on the field and game planning or scripting plays has nothing to do with Gase??
Seriously, there's a reason Adam Gase is being interviewed by every head coaching needy team, I'll give you a hint, it's not because you think Peyton Manning developed him!! Unlike most posters on here, GM and team owners can call and get some serious back ground info on him and not just speculation.
Most people don't know anything about Gase, they just know that he is the OC for Peyton Manning so clearly by association he must be incompetent because nobody has ever helped, called a play for or taught Manning anything.
Truly unbelievable how much people say the same thing about Adam Gase. So Peyton Manning is a future HOF QB, I get that, but gee wiz he's gotta get his plays from somewhere or do you think he just checks outta every single play Adam Gase calls??? OC's don't tell Peyton Manning, Peyton Manning tells OC's!!!![]()
Tell me, when Kaepernick ran the Read-Option in 2012, was it Kap saying "f**k off Roman, I know what I'm doing"??
Josh McDaniels looked like a QB guru behind Tom Brady. Look how that worked out. What makes you think Gase is any different, or better, for that matter ? Because Peyton Manning is propping him up ? Just like Bill Belicheck propped up McDaniels ?
I'm amazed how little credit you guys give to these quarterbacks. This isn't Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy, where he was taken under McCarthy's wings and taught how to play the position. Brady and Manning were NFL "gods" bf guys like McDaniels and Gase came along....and they will remain that way when both those guys are gone. McDaniels has proven that he's pretty avg without his golden boy Brady, and I have no reason to believe Gase will be any different, unless you guys have any real reason except that he "coached" Manning as OC for two years.

And I don't want Shanahan Jr. OR Sr. anywhere near this team.
Oh, and if Rex Ryan gets the job, I quit. I'll become a Seahags fan before I see that toe-sucking freak as the head coach of the Team Bill Walsh Built (and the Yorks destroyed).![]()

Curley Bill is right! Listen to him.

Obviously you haven't read my first post above, correct??
LOL what makes Gase different from McDaniels, that's an easy one, maturity. You obviously don't know the situation with McDaniels down in Denver.

Tom Moore is still having some success without Peyton Manning. He's in the playoffs with a third string QB playing. He's not the cardinals OC, but he is the one who is sitting with the QB after each series and breaking down the slideshow of the previous series.
I like Gase a lot and having the knowledge of working Manning should only help him as a coach, it shouldn't take away from it.
Not only that, he had a hand in Designing the offense around Tebow, and it worked for them. Right after, he had to adjust everything to fit Manning. That's pretty impressive IMO.
Tom Moore also consulted on the 2011 New York Jets (#25) and 2012 Tennessee Titian's (#26). Arizona is also 2-4 in there last 6 games, averaging 12 ppg.
Arizona is 2-4 because of the very reason I stated. They're starting Ryan Lindley. He's not a good QB, but you have to give credit where it's due. They are in the playoffs with that third stringer. their second stringer beat us, and the third stringer had them in the game against us until he turned the ball over.
I just do not want to write off a coach because he had a great QB.
Remember, that several coaches became successful, or great, after their stints with the Niners, and we had Joe and Steve at QB.
I liken it to the argument about whether Jerry Rice made Montana and Young great, or did they make him great? Chicken or the egg, so to speak.

Let's not forget that Manning has had his best success coming to Denver, being his oldest age and after neck surgery. QBs in their twilight years regress the most not get better.
There is a bunch of literature about how good Gase is and why he's he's a hot coordinator. It takes somebody with confidence to be able to be the manager of one of the smartest QBs ever and somebody with ability to make them better.

We went from a guy who had to wear a suit like his dad to a guy "who won of course" that wore the same sweatshirt and khaki's!
