Darrell Bevell would be perfect, especially for Kap.

Been out of coaching 6 years, won one Superbowl 18 years ago & was 23-25 his last 3 years in Seattle. If Holmgren didn't have 49ers connections no one would be advocating him as the next coach.

I know...they should go get a proven commodity like Gus Malzahn instead.
pep hamilton but he must keep vic as DC and his defensive coaching staff. Pep must fire EVERYONE on offense and assemble his own coaching staff.

Totally agree. But if that's not happening, Holmgren has a lot more than just ties to the Niners. The idea that Holmgren has lost touch with offense in the NFL is laughable to me. He molded a QB who is not unlike Kaepernick into a league force and took him all the way to a championship. He has an imaginative offensive mind rooted in many of the concepts he originally learned from the Master. I think some of you guys are focusing too hard on that 66. Tom Coughlin is 4 or 5 years older than that and he still starts his day off in the gym lifting weights.

people assume holmgren will be calling the plays, very possible that he just turns the offense over to his OC.

.538 in the regular season and .400 in the playoffs with Seattle. It was just bad luck with him coaching the 49ers. He just didn't have the experience at the time to take over for Walsh and we had just hired Mariucci when he was ready to leave Green Bay.

Holmgren is a hard-ass and a control guy. Any OC is going to be following his script. I'm just saying that he has the temperment and experience to be an NFL head coach and he has an offensive philosophy/system.

Bottom line is that I agree with you that it will be a mistake to lose Harbaugh. Holmgren is just a guy who wouldn't fill me with dread if he were coming on as HC. I don't know about any of these young OC's and their ability to be HC. But I know Holmgren can do that.

Agreed
Trade harbaugh.

Trade for Sean Payton

Boom
Peyton Manning's assistant offensive coordinator isn't Balkee's style. Lol

I would take glowing reports from players and coaches with a grain of salt. I bet if you asked him right now Kap would have some pretty positive things to say about Roman. The one issue i have with Hamilton is he was brought to Indy to run Harbaughs offense. He was supposed to run a power run game so Luck didn't have to do everything. Right now Indy is #1 in passing with Luck leading the NFL with 544 pass attempts (he is on pace for 670 and which would put him tied for 4th all time and 43 more then his career best of 627 as a rookie) and they are 18th in rushing.

Man your just hating on every opinion out there that doesn't follow suit to yours lol

I think Pep or Gase would make for a great HC and realistically I don't see Gus leaving his cozy job in Auburn, I mean has he made any remarks about wanting to be a NFL coach?
