I wouldnt have ever put this team on twitter blast, and if there was stories and reports coming out every frickin month I would be putting them to bed. York and Baalke should be ashamed the way they have handled this team after ONE off season. I'm just as frustrated as anyone but there are more respectful ways of handling a coach/coaching staff that has brought this teams out of a dark age than to let the media tear this team apart and too put them on blast publicly. Just my 2 pennies.

Lets remember uncle eddie tried and got really close to building a new stadium in SF back in the mid 90's. Jed took the team out of the city and now we have the worst Home Field advantage in the league playing out of santa clara. Fail....

Let's remember that Eddie got real close to getting that stadium built in SF, but the city of SF are the ones that fought it off and squashed the attempt. And worst in the league? Please. This is what the jags stadium looks like the whole game.

Ok maybe not the worst but we can agree near the bottom. He's priced the average fan out and put his stadium in a city known more for hotels, an amusement park and soccer moms than lifelong fans.

hold up, and research why the 49ers moved before you start talking out your ass

Excellent. Completely agree. York let the media put Harbaugh and Team through the ringer although I believe he did once Tweet about how Harbaugh is his coach but he never went out of his way to put out any of the media fires..

Baalke said they wont let the Media dictate the way they run things..im sure Jed has better things to do then rebut every media hack
He's had some missteps, but overall Jed is light years ahead of his parents. It's sort of unfair to compare him to Eddie, despite the comparisons being inevitable.

The picture of young Jed with Eddie and Bill is awesome though!

WTF

You think that media asked for his permission before doing what they do.

Trying to put out media fires strikes me as equivalent to throwing gasoline on those fires.

I think some of the criticism that people are laying on Jed York is pretty unfair, especially when bringing back issues from the past that had nothing to do with him.

Jed is not his father and yet people are trying to conflate the two. Jed grew up as a fan of the 49ers, he grew up around the players, the team, Bill Walsh, his past is deeply rooted in this team's glory days. John York is someone who I don't think ever expected to own a football team. Once he did, he treated it like any other business, try to make as much money as possible while controlling overhead.

The problem is that owning a sports team is unlike pretty much any other business. If you own a factory, a grocery store, a doughnut shop...whatever, your only real concern is with making money and the bottom line. A sports team is completely different, you're still looking at making money but also winning games and those two don't always necessarily go hand in hand. John York treated it like a traditional business, tried to keep costs low and continue to have money coming in, whether the team won or lost. He had no background in the football business and he chased away those who did.

Jed to his credit has embraced his uncle and has been really determined about getting this team back to its winning ways. I see him as similar to a guy like Mark Cuban in that he may not always be right, but he's passionate about his team, he wants to see it thrive and he's willing to do pretty much whatever it takes to keep them winning. I don't think any of that stuff from over a decade ago applies. Jed is not his father, he's far more in tune with the state of football and has a passion for the team himself. Baalke is certainly not Donahue whose main passion was getting away to his SoCal retreat as often as possible.

This team is in a far better position now than they were about a decade ago when they pretty much had to beg Monte Kiffin for an interview. So whether Harbaugh stays or goes, there's someone who really loves this team in charge now and I trust Jed to find a way to get this team back to winning Superbowls once more.
Hey, Eddie wasn't that much older than Jed, so let's not get our panties in a wad here. Jed fired noln, BM, Erickson, and now slim jimbo. Perfect. Now he needs that hot shot OC/HC from Baylor, TCU, fla State, Oregon, Washington (Peterson via Boise state), and a whole passel of others.
Dude is pretty young tbh, but that is irrelevant. He has been around long enough to have the balls to make a bold move, and I expect him to. I trust him and baalke to make the right decisions to make the right hire.

Some in the media have suggested that leaks are coming in from Front Office. If that is the case - then that's on ownership.

"Some in the media". Some in the media have done a lot of lying and distortion.

My point was, whatever York had said, media would still have put them through the ringer. This one is on the media.
