I remember this happening, but don't remember when. What quarter was it and what happened before this?
i think it had to do with once again the plays not getting off in time...not sure though why he was yelling at Boone...but was saying something of the effect that "you need to call it out f*cking quicker" or something.
What's funny is Carr yelled at his center yesterday for a delay of game and fans (Kaep haters) on here called it 'passion and energy'. Wtf.

For the first time in the Kap era, I'm a little down on the kid. I'm not ready to throw him out like many fans but I do recognize that something is seriously wrong. Read somewhere else that mention his confidence. Kap doesn't look comfortable anymore and his confidence is shot!
At first, the pick on the first play didn't bother me but after thl break down, boy did he miss that. Question though: Does Harbaugh & Roman script there plays? I would think if they did, they drill it in him to at least hit miller. And we've seen Kap make this throw a million times. He did it regularly last year when we didn't have much of a receiving core.
Gotta give the Raiders some credit. They played their butts off yesterday. They really didn't look like a 1-11 team at all.
Next...if Harbs stays, he really has to decide what type of offense he wants to run. Either spread it out or go power. It seems rather confusing to do both right now.
i dont understand why they wont play ellington and patton they are young and faster than our other recievers everytime ellington has played reciever this year he gets open and fast for 8 to 10 yards
I was never big on Lloyd playing over Patton but I understood why. I think they just robbed this kid of getting good experience by not even dressing him until yesterday.

Completely agree with you about Kap Marvin!
His problems this season have been his decision making. Defenses have this offense figured out. In order to counter that, he has to make better post snap decisions. But thats hard to do when it's something you haven't trained for all offseason and when you are running for your life behind an awful OL. And it doesn't help when your receivers are dropping every other pass.
I can't stand all the hate on Kap right not. Every unit on the offense has underperformed. We need a true west-coast offense and a coach who will give us that.

To me, the great teams, I dont care if the owner and coach don't get along, I dont care if the general manager comes around at all. We take care of business. We might get beat, but we are going to be a tough out always.
That was the most disappointing thing about yesterday.
It's funny because I remember a Young led team in 1990 and Montana led team in 88' that went down and laid an egg against the Raider in 2 of the ugliest games I have ever watched as a niner fan..s**t happens.

interesting, wonder how often we play fake now? I heard through the grapevine that we used to be one of the most frequent PA teams and now we're somewhere in the bottom half

Don't know the specific numbers relating to the percentage of play passes, but I still seem to see Playaction passes. Only thing I can contribute to a decrease is we seem to be in the gun a lot more than past years.
Now the read option, specifically from the pistol has been pretty much eliminated.

He's a single read QB because this offense handcuffs him to be one. Expecting him to go through progression reads is impossible. You cannot operate outside the parameters of the offense. There are no progressions, and this was the case with Alex as well. Only difference is that this offense is 4 years old, defenses adapted, and this philosophy has been exposed for the gimmick it is. Harbaugh is incapable of changing the offense, he's married to it, and that's why management is about to show him the door.
AMEN!

Way too young to have a real talk with you about a game played in 88´ bro. I was born that year. Only saw them on replay years after.

1988 Raiders finished 7-9. Had Marcus Allen, Bo Jackson & Tim Brown
1991 Raiders made the Playoffs at 9-7

And that 1991 game was amid the 4-6 start that year. That teams started to gel towards the end of '91(6-0 finish) and that set up the 1992 title run.

the Niners put up 3 and 6 points respectively against inferior Raider squads....they were some of the ugliest games I have ever seen...by the greatest QB ever and one of the very best QBs ever...Young sits there and says they always showed up no matter what and played tough and I say b******t. Neither team showed up those 2 games...and other games as well ....s**t happens.

3rd Quarter. This is the 3rd and 9 play. Delay of Game. Notice the time from when Kap lifts his leg, which signals Boone to tap the MMartin, to snap the ball. There's a few things to notice here. Kap lifts his leg, JMart is looking at Boone for some reason. Boone sees Kap lift the leg. Boone then looks over to JMart to tell him something. Then Boone taps MMartin's leg to snap the ball.
They would fail to convert on the 3rd and 14. I'm not a lip reader but I can tell Kap said the word, "Faster". Not sure what else was said. The beginning of this GIF is the Raider with his helmet off.
Boone has to tap the center to signal him to snap the ball. Its a part of the silent count mechanic. All Kap is doing is telling him they need to get the ball off faster.
Nothing to see here.
