Yep, but not until after they bring him back for the last two seasons of his career and get my boy his ring.

He's a first ballot hall of famer. Aside from that, there is not another player I can think of that has commanded the type of respect Frank has from players, coaches, executives, and just about everyone in the football world that knows him as a person and a football player. He's just a special individual.
In my opinion, they should. Willis was great, but his career was cut short and Gore is not only the greatest Niner RB ever, he's one of the best RBs in NFL history. I would love to see him finish his career here, but we'll probably draft a back and/or re-sign Hyde leaving no room for anyone else. I expect he will retire a Niner, but on a one-day contract instead of a one-year one.

Soooooooo much this! He still lives and breathes the 9ers too, I'd be so happy bringing him back even be it as the 2nd option just so he can retire here.

I mean, if there was any way to have him here, even if it meant keeping 4 RBs, I'd love it. But it's hard to say we could do this with Williams coming back, Breida on the rise, and Mostert coming back from injury being a STs stalwart.

With Gore's abilities to pickup blitzers and to still be a productive runner and target out of the backfield, I would still try to get him back, he would really help #10 out a lot. I think he still can be a valuable player for two more years, it would be crazy not to bring him back. If he can give #10 another second to be able to release the ball, that would be invaluable. And then he can finally retire with the SB ring that he sorely deserves. I so miss Gore.

Should have never got rid of him but there were pennies to be saved and never spent.

Gore needs to comeback as a change of pace back. He can be the back end of the duo.

I LOVE Frank Gore and I've never missed or appreciated a player more after he was gone. I think a lot of people took for granted his durability and his consistency. I remember I always would nit-pick Gore coming off the field during games with slight injuries and I remember the 'and goals' from inside the 5 we would never seem to get and tons of the 2 yard or less runs he seemed to have, but those moments were never bigger than the big runs, the always reliable blocking and the games that were never missed by Gore.
Dude was a beast and will always be one of the greatest 49ers ever.
That being said, I don't think we should retire his number.
Just add on another wall at Levi's in the HOF area and maybe even a statue.
Love you Frank!!!!!

Frank Gore is not even the best number 21 the 49ers have had.
Gore was the only offense in a craptastic 49ers era, but he was not historic on a per carry basis or an elite scoring threat. I like the guy, and hope he goes HOF, but I would not retire his number.
