WE are actually right on Schedule (we expected a Split) with Seattle

Not looking good guys.

I think we have to win out. If we get at least 10 wins I think we're going to need both Arizona and Seattle to drop 2 of their remaining 4 games for us to have a shot at the playoffs (regardless of what the other teams in the NFC do -- unless 2 of the following (GB, PHI, DAL, GB) go on a tail spin and lose out.

There is no question we have to win out but unless we change our scheme I don't see us beating Seattle.

I feel like we have enough talent to overcome mediocre teams but against better teams we need more than that, and that's why we keep falling short. Nothing else besides our talent gives us an advantage.

Not doing any damage in the playoffs that way

Exactly what I've been saying. We can change/tweak scheme overnight but not talent. So we def have the ability to win in Sea. We're due for a win up there.

These coaches are smart enough to know we can't have the same gameplan against Sea again

And the Seattle coaches are smart enough to know we're not going to go up there again with the same gameplan so they're going to plan accordingly :P

But Seattle doesn't change scheme much on the defensive side I believe so the advantage should be with us if the players can execute.

We need a complete game from all three phases to win up there, well doh.
If we win on Sunday and Seattle and Arizona both lose we're right back in this thing

losing to the bears and rams at home and not giving a good effort vs seattle at home is not exactly what i call on schedule but as long as we are still alive, barely, for post season play i guess its ok
After next week we're likely going to be down a single game in the division and with games against both of those opponents. The season is not over with. Not until we lose in Seattle.

Even if Sea loses that'll put us back on track. Tied going into Sea. The "law of averages" says we are due for a win up there.

The key is the Detroit game. If they win then a loss at Seattle eliminates us officially from playoffs. If detroit loses then no matter what happens we can't get eliminated at least for a week. In that scenario we have to beat SD and ARZ and both of the following must happen: Detroit loses out and the loser of DAL vs PHIL must lose out.

A long shot? Oh yeah. Impossible? No.
I am going to hope for one more week that this offense can "turn on" the light switch that seems to be broke...

Hope dies last!
We were right on schedule until we lost to a 1 win team @oakland yesterday.. I'm still shell shocked over that loss.. Kap sets the tone for the game with a 1st play interception.. 10 days to prepare and that's how we come out to perform? HARBS is blowing nothing but smoke and hot air in his post game pressers.. You don't just get carved up by a 1 win team when you consider the circumstances that were in play..

As far as making the playoffs, we now have a better shot at seeing Mike Singletary streaking across Century Link field during our game at Seattle on Sunday..
The reality I see is we're right on schedule to go 7-9...we're not beating Seattle on the road, and both SD and 'Zona will be very tough to beat at home. Best case scenario is 8-8...Rams are the team that will have a lot to say about the NFC West.
I just can't agree with this.

"...we're not beating Seattle on the road"

As a Seahawk fan (...and not a football guru. I'm one of those "Mom" fans that loved it when they came up with the first down computer image because it made it easier for me) I thought last Sunday morning "We may get a win but 49ers come away with an easy victory".

There is a reason they make them play the games...and any Seahawk fan that tells you that they are not taking the 49ers in Seattle seriously is blowing smoke.

Seahawk fans don't watch other teams so i'm guessing they don't know how bad our offense is. We do, however.

We couldn't do s**t at home against SEA so we don't see how we can do better with the the queefing noise that c**t Lick stadium will produce.
