Lets try to get in the playoffs first before any talk about winning the SB.

With our offense, I wouldn't be surprised if they make it a close game.

Not out of realm of possibility but aint gonna happen. I see the 49ers with a 9-7 record and Luck 10-6 if they get lucky and won't be enough because Detroit has a easier schedule and cowgirls is kinda not too difficult either. That Rams Loss is Looming huge, even if the 49ers beat Oakland, sanDiego and Az, they would be 10-6 and would need AZ,Detroit and Dallas to really start sucking a biggie. Too much to ask especially when the 49ers themselves average 13 points a game.

Arizona is falling off and will more than likely start sliding. I'm not worried about them. Same with Dallas, they have a pretty tough schedule coming up with 3 out of the 4 playing away. That leaves Detroit. This is the team I'm most worried about. They play Tampa, Minnesota, Chicago, and Green Bay. They are currently 8-4 and would have to lose 2 games in order for us to get in, cause they would own the tie breaker in case of a tie.

As long as #7 & Roman are with the Niners that will never happen. U guys are delusional thinking we could go up to Seattle with that pathetic offense n beat them up there. Lets face it #7 is Seattle's b*tch

9-7 finish fellas

I have to agree. It's kinda silly to think we'd go up there & even be competitive. Especially with no identity on offense & what week are we in now?? lol. Now maybe if we were even healthy fully on d would I think of a chance of competing, but I am a realist.
Offense is about rhythm we got a few games to figure it out I'm optimistic

can we stop with this stuff about the super bowl? for gods sake. just to back into the playoffs is the goal, jesus
Would anybody care to list the most realistic way into playoffs?

I know this is a really unpopular on here, ridiculed and looks more than impossible but…IF niners win in seattle, would going 3-1 guarantee playoffs? Or would we need sea to drop another one?

Too many scenarios/tie breaker rules to get a clearer picture at this point.

I messed a little with the playoff machine, but 3-1 will likely only do it if the only loss is to the non-divisional opponents. IF we win the next 2 weeks, I'll get more interested in playoff talk. Unless we beat Seattle, the likelihood isn't very optimistic.
Why are so many afraid of listing a game to Seattle? Big deal.
We will get absolutely embarrassed in Seattle, there's a reason why this game will not be on prime time because everyone knows this game will be over as soon as its 10-0
we can still lose to Seattle and realistically get in.

Cards can lose to the Rams...and Seattle can beat the Cards.

we just need to beat the Chargers and the Cards..

If we win out I guarantee we will be in due to the schedule of some of the teams ahead of us HOWEVER, realistically that won't happen. So we need:

Dallas lose to Philly and Colts (bears on Thursday would be nice but they are undefeated on the Road and Cutler sucks)

Arizona lose to us, Seattle and STL (they will beat KC at home as they will pressure the s**t out of Alex and his WRs will not beat AC and PP)

We go 3-1 down the stretch but if we had to lose I'd prefer it be to SD but it will more than likely be Seattle.

Realistically it is a long shot for us as DET has a cake schedule and Seattle is clicking at the right time. We need AZ to collapse, period and I really think Dallas will finish with 6 losses.

People bashed our offense for only scoring 16 points on 5 ints, but Seattle only scored 19 on 2 picks, one fumble, and a metric ton of three and outs. I know that home loss was tough, but Seattle wasn't impressive as the stat sheet may seem. If we can get the offense rolling just a little bit to take some of the pressure off the defense and put Wilson in constant 3rd and longs, we can and will win in Seattle. This is a week to week league and all our guys have to do is get hot at the right time. This same offense (2011 offense was worse personnel wise IMO) has gotten us by fine before. Hopefully Roman will use the Raiders game to work on bringing back some of the stuff that worked in the past so we can be in rhythm for Seattle
I got to stay optimistic until it's over. We've beaten Kansas City and New Orleans at their place and those are 2 of the toughest places to play at. We can beat Seattle in Seattle. If we do that we still have a shot.
