If it comes down to other teams requesting permission to interview him. The 49ers need to pull the trigger and make him the HC.

NO OFFENCE TO HIM, but i rather have harbaugh. But can we please get rid of roman?
Why are they a package deal? Vic came with Harbs as well...if Trent said John you can stay HC if we can get rid of Roman you'd think he wouldn't do that? Come on man.

No, he's a much better coordinator than a HC. He doesn't seemed to be good or want to deal with the other crap that goes along with being a HC. Like the adminstrative or regulatory side of a HC. I think it's a bad idea. You keep him at DC, you can win a SB.

IF Harbaugh is back, it has to be with the condition we hire a real OC and implement a eal NFL system.
That said, I'm in favor of this consideration b/c Fangio is a straight-shooter here and he can call, the defensive plays on game day and keep this staff intact. Then, he'd just need to hire an offensive professional and work together. You could wipe out this entire offensive coaching staff save for Rathman and start over and it should immediately be better once you start installing a professional NFL offensive system. This defense is already epic...imagine how much better and deeper it will be NEXT year too.

We MUST get rid of Roman and we MUST keep Fangio, I'm good with whatever it takes to make this happen.

Is it me or does Harbaugh seem to have scaled it back in terms of his bold personality? It seems like he's a much more toned done version of himself with the media and players like as if he know he's on the hot seat and trying to keep his job.

Maybe he got tired of having 30 flags thrown a game?

My sentiments about Fangio as the head coach have not changed. There could only be one scenario worse than Harbaugh walking and that would be also losing Fangio. Being the defensive guru he is, he would be readily able to determine the holes that need to be filled on the offensive side of the ball. He could easily determine that we don't have an offensive line that can pass block, no wide receivers capable of extending the field, an offensive coordinator capable of implementing an NFL passing attack, a QB to date that has not shown the capability of throwing passes with a touch. We still do not know if he can read defenses with the two seconds he is given. Vic must silently laugh at how easy it must be for other DC's to game plan for the 49ers offense.

So, to all of the "Harbaugh or bust" guys out there. What if HArbaugh and his coaching staff are a package deal? Do you still want to keep him?

Im not a huge fan of making fangio a HC because like others have said maybe he doesnt want to deal with the politics and everything else that goes along with it otherwise he wouldve been a HC already. as far as offense no one should be back, a case can be made for rathman but frank was frank before rathman and he will be frank after rathman if he leaves. it would be cool to keep him but not a necessity if they really want to clean house. fangio and donnatel are the only ones i really want to keep. possibly tomsula as well i guess
