We went from the team to beat the last 3 years to now a bubble/playoff team. The difference being, we are now (I believe) more in line with teams like the Chargers, Bengals, and Lions. Teams that make the playoffs (or close to it) and essentially lose/have no actual shot of winning the Super Bowl.
This only hurts cause we have high expectations. I still remember the X years before and during the Alex Smith QB era's when i expected us to lose EVERY GAME. The fact we are pissed that we will ONLY win 8-9 games, isnt really that bad of a problem. We may not have it this year, but next year its easy to see that we could be right back to elite once again.
Go 49ers.

You really lost me there. Did you say "is easy to see" ? How is it easy to see ? Do you have a crystal ball ? Is that a guarantee ?
The truth is we are regressing and there is no way we can tell whether we will bounce back by next year or there is still some way to go before we hit rock bottom. For one, we don't even know whether our head coach will still be around and you are saying is easy to see we will be elite again ? I don't know about you, that doesn't sound at all realistic to me.
The truth is it is anyone's guess where this team might go.

The 2015 season right now is a big ?. None of us know what players will be back. Not of us know who the HC will be. Most of the guys are still under contract but Crabs and Iaputi might not be here. Ahmad Brooks might get traded as reports said they tried to before the trading deadline. Gore will probably not be back. That leaves you with Hyde and Hunter at RB. Lloyd will probably be gone. Boldin will be a year older on his last year. I think SJ will be on his last year unless he gets extended? My biggest question.....with the HC possibly changing...who do they bring in to help Kaep? Is Kaep still around 2-3 years from now? I've been a Kaep supporter and he has a very high ceiling as far as talent, but 2 years and he's still making the same mistakes. He still can't throw a touch pass. He still can't stop throwing to his 1st read even if he's doubled. Even if another OC is brought in, Kaep is still the same guy running that offense.

I guess by "easy to see" for next year i meant that we have all the talent needed to win on this team, its just a matter of getting everyone on the same page. Some teams that win 8 or 9 games, may not have the depth or skill we have. So essentially we are not NEEDING that high draft pick or need to acquire multiple FA's etc. to get the team back to elite. We need everyone on the same page, get healthy, and figure it out.

On the surface you might think we have a tonne of talents, but if you are talking about next year, aside from the head coach, as Baldie mentioned many of our current star players will be free agents. There is just no way of knowing what our team will look like come next year.
The most important thing right now is Harbaugh and whether he is indeed losing the locker room which seems to be the case by all accounts. Everything starts from up top, if the foundation is not there everything else will crumble. Going into a bit more detail, what kind of offensive philosophy will we be running ? Well, you don't need me to tell you the current one isn't working and the players are not buying in, just ask Frank.
To me, if the coaching and strategic blueprint isn't there, nothing else matters disregard how much talent we have.I think we will need to see how that plays out at the end of the season. If Harbaugh stays, is he going to make any changes to his coaching staff to facilitate better coaching, better play-calling and what not ? Is he going to identify a new offensive approach ? If Harbaugh is fired, who are we bringing in ? And what will the new head coach bring to the table ? What strategic direction does he intend to take this team to ?
Personally, I suspect a lot of things will go down in this coming offseason. Bottom line, I think a lot of the players and fans will look forward to some degree of change. As to what extent ? Only time will tell.
So, let's just see back and see how this thing unfolds.

Do you guys really think starting allover is going to do anything besides send us into another playoff drought? We are on the verge of a dynasty! Even Bill Walsh and Joe Montana had a few bad seasons. We need to give Harbaugh some slack, he's earned it.
A couple of losses and the whiners and the trolls come out in force.
And anybody suggesting we are going to trade Kaepernick and draft with our late 1st round pick is just having a laugh.
Lol all of this.

Who suggested that? I suggested we draft a QB early, bring in a vet and give Kap till mid 2015 to prove he can be a pocket passer. One year from now.

Lol all of this.
Not really LOL. Our season is toast because of the Bears/Rams losses and a lack of scoring ability from our offense when put on Kaps shoulders. Especially in the redzone and second half of games. There is in fact cause for concern, especially seeing Kaps mistakes led to 2 of our 4 losses. If we win the Bears and Rams games we're 6-2. And we would have won if not for the ints, fumbles and bad throws in clutch moments.

If anything it's sad that our offense is this pathetic and if you can't see that Kaps mistakes led to 2 of our losses I don't know what to tell ya. He's not ready to carry this offense. Period.

The offense is underperforming badly, yet Harbaugh sees no flaws in Roman's calls and no need to change anything other than by nebulously "attacking where we need improvement." It's as if Harbaugh was angling to go elsewhere before the season started, and now he's coaching in a way that ensures that he will go somewhere else after this season ends. I have never seen the kind of listless defeatism exhibited by the players in this game. There was one play when a Ram player with the ball fell down, yet not a single 49er defender tried to tackle him before he got up and started running again. Happily, the ref called the play dead, which spared the 49ers from having to explain why no one tackled the dude when he got up. This team has a big coaching problem, and it starts and ends with Harbaugh. At least in the eyes of the front office -- why else would they have attempted to trade him to Cleveland last February?
