Wasn't that Dontae Johnson who caused the 2 nd Borland pick on 4th and goal?
Our D is balling, we need ST to wake up and protect the ball on offense....... If we don't turn the ball over on offense we will win most of our games. Don't need to put up huge scores with our D. 22 points per game should get us enough wins for playoffs!

After being angry about lack of scoring from 5 INTs, I went back and looked at where Niners took over on offense.
1st INT = @ NYG 29 - Borland.
2nd INT = @ SF 15 - Wilhoite.
3rd INT = @ SF 42 - Reid (after penalty).
4th INT = @ SF 21 - Culliver.
5th INT = @ SF 2 - Borland.
Only one INT in Giants territory. Also, two were inside our own 20 yard line.
Although we should be worried about the offense, we shouldn't forget to thank our DEFENSE. Without those INTs, NYG had a chance to score as they were in Niner territory several times.

Well he lives in the SF area, did a lot of 9er games when we were bad. Then started doing preseason for us and now he's our radio guy. He should be a 9er fan. Also, I think when he was with the Bears he admired the 9ers teams they played. Seems that way when he brings them up.
I like him more now

Yeah and he also created pressure on Eli causing him to overthrow to a wide-open Eric Reid for a sweet pick. So he essentially helped cause 2 interceptions. DJ was balling out in this game along with Borland and pretty much the whole defense.

This extends back to last season, so I'm not too optimistic it will change anytime soon. We have the talent there but apparently don't have a clue as to how to use it, especially in the Redzone. Those long drives only to end in field goals are getting old.Thank God for our D. Borland is a revelation and I don't know what the coaches will do with him once Willis and Bowman are back. People will say, just be glad for the win, but that's extremely short-sighted. If we're to have any chance to reach ans succeed in the post-season, we need better and more consistent production from the O, and that includes Kap.
Look how many times the Giants were in our territory on drives and they scored a whole 10 pts. 4 INT's in our territory.
It was frustrating when we were moving the ball and the we call 2 deep outside passes on 2nd and 3rd down with 5 to go. Run the ball or throw over the middle. We were completing over 80% of our passes in the middle and about 15% to the outside. 2 wasted plays and a punt in Giants territory to kill a drive.
Another on a naked bootleg when we hadn't established the running game yet. Those plays work later in the game when the defense starts to over pursue on the backside because they have seen a bunch of runs away from them and begin to chase from behind.
Another just bad luck. Gore fumbled. Can't blame a guy who rarely fumbles when it finally happens. Thank god it was in a win.
Sure was nice to see an opposing QB get a dose of what Kap has seen all season long in a pass rush.Everybody kept knocking our CB's but it is hard to play CB with no pass rush. Manning had almost as many INT's today as he had all season and he would have tied his entire season total if that duck he heaved when he grounded the ball by throwing it over his back blindly had been picked. finally we have a pass rush.

Good win for the 9ers, no matter how bad the Giants are it was a good win. The Giants just seem to have the 49ers number, just not today, I'm glad we also got to witness Bonehead Eli today instead of Mr. Spot On. Big applause to the secondary AND Chris Borland, Borland is just the spark the defense needed. Man 5 interceptions by the defense I thought I would never witness a game like that. Also Quinton Dial looked pretty solid today controlling the A-gap, he looked like the space eater I envisioned in the 49ers defense, Jennings could hardly go anywhere. Also it was good to get a preview of Aaron Lynch and Aldon Smith, it didn't show up in the stat sheet but those two turned up the heat.
As for the offense, I'm once against disappointed in, straight up laid an egg and could not take advantage of any of the turnovers except one. Pretty much the only question I have for the offense is, why is it when the offense only needs 5 or 6 to pick up the first down Kaepernick heaves it 30 yards for an incomplete pass?? That crap is irritating, dammit just pick up the short yards and keep the drive alive. Hard to blame either Kaepernick or Roman, IMO we just don't know where the drop in communication is, but wherever it is they need to fix this mess, you can't get away with poor offensive play in the playoffs.

Good stuff, and spot on. If the defense wasn't that great today, this team would have lost something like 27 - 16.

6 games left in the season 4 at home and our 2 road games are @Oak and @Sea. Even with our offensive struggles I don't see us losing another game.

So spot on about Kap throwing a 30 yard pass on 3rd and 5 almost every time. Drives me insane.
