This weekend has the potential to be very big for the Niners...
If we win, that puts us at 6-4. And with some help, the Seahawks would also be 6-4, the Cardinals would be 8-2, as would the Lions. The Packers would be 7-3 as would the Eagles (and Dallas, on BYE). The Saints will probably win the South by default.
The NFC would look like:
1. Detroit: 8-2
2. Arizona: 8-2
3. Dallas: 7-3 (I don't know the tie-breaker between them and PHI)
4. New Orleans: 5-5
5. Green Bay: 7-3
6. Philadelphia: 7-3
7. Seattle: 6-4
8: San Francisco: 6-4
We also have tie-breakers over DAL, and PHI (very important) and NO (probably inconsequential).
Oh, and the next week, ARI plays at SEA, so it's very possible that in 2 weeks, we're 1 game out of first place in our division and tied for the Wild Card, with good tie-breakers.
- Obviously Niners need a Win, first and foremost!
- Seattle plays a tough game in Arrowhead (which I think is a toss-up)
- Arizona plays a well-rounded Detroit team without Palmer (another toss-up)
- Eagles play in Lambeau against a red-hot Packers team

Perfect scenario ALL of this happened. First and foremost, Niners need to win.

Well if he doesn't, he'll make someone else have one. The Giants will now have to account for him. But there was a stat that I saw that was a concern. When he came back after his rehab last year, the rest of the way you only had 4 1/2 sacks. I hope its different this time around after missing the first 9 games.

Come on Patrick, get some Ronnie Lott in you, just cut it off and get back in the game.
