The key thing being this point in time. Last time at this point in the season, it was Denver (with Manning thrown 7 tds).

The point is that things change over the course of a season.

Denver did make it to the SB.

This upcoming game is a concern. Cutler had a big game yesterday statistically ... just looking at the stats it is hard to believe the Bears lost.

The pass rush will be key, as it almost always is. It would be nice to have Carradine active for this game to add some extra push on obvious passing downs.

Is Acker ready to be activated in case one or both of our starting corners (and Ward also) can't play next week? Would be nice to have Morris around again.

do you agree?

Let's see who would be better right now:

A team that has 99% of its starters or a team decimated by injuries (two lb's, right side of oline, both starting cb's, NT).

It's just week one...

I find it hilarious that us beating Dallas means nothing now that we thrashed them but Seattle beating Green Bay -- a team in the same mold as the Cowboys -- means they're a lock to repeat. Gotta love media bias.

If you really think that Green Bay is an elite team, you haven't been paying attention to football the past 3-4 years. Yes, Aaron Rodgers is a good QB. But that doesn't mean anything when the rest of the team is garbage.

Brock came back into the game didn't he. Should be fine for next week. Cully was a concussion so I don't really no the protocol on that. Boone will play and hopefully Davis to. Hopefully we see some improvements in o-line play. You cam see the difference in the way Gore runs without them and our pass protection needs to improve.

That being said look at our new secondary they're awesome. Also this group of receivers can actually get open. 1 on 1 matchups will leave a mismatch somewhere even against Seattle. Bring on the Bears.
I hope all our CB's are good to go next week

After week 1, maybe. The niners still need to prove they can beat a legit playoff team this season. Seattle DL and OL were unstoppable. Our DL and OL were getting pushed back most of the day. If Kaep wasn't mobile, he would have been sacked more often than none. As far as offense is concerned GB has a better offense than Dallas and Seattle pretty much shut them down. The next couple of games will tell, at least in my opinion.

I don't like these blanket observations of the Packers - Seahawks game because they gloss over the important details. Obviously, the Packers were in the game for the 1st two quarters. Eddie Lacy busted off some good runs against Seadderall to start the game. When Rodgers had time, they moved the ball with quick passes and scored.

Everything seemed to unravel after that play when both Bulaga and Rodgers got injured on the same play. After Sherrod took over for Bulaga, Bennett feasted on Rodgers. That safety when they were down by two scores really put the game away. Sherrod made the Seahawks look better than they are because he couldn't block Bennett.

On defense, they slowed down Seadderall quite a bit, but couldn't keep tackling the speed and power down to the wire. If they hadn't fallen behind so much, they wouldn't have seen so much of Lynch. We already knew the Packers are not that great at defending the rush; Kaep has killed them with his legs.

I think the Chargers are going to give Seadderall a decent challenge in San Diego. Corey Liuget should get a lot more pressure on Frodo. They have very good safeties ala Eric Weddle. Philip Rivers can light up any secondary if given time. Away from Seadderall, their defense doesn't have the advantage of offenses having to play with a silent count. Audibles...hard snap counts, things that Seadderall only experiences on the road.

The Packers seemed to be onto something when they went no-huddle and kept Seadderall from subbing in players. The players on defense were getting tired and started becoming vulnerable. If San Diego watched the Seadderall game, they would be smart to try it again and possibly get them off-balance.

Exactly! Especially when half the media picked the Cowboys to upset us and now that we dominated them they want to say "oh it's just the Cowboys"

Ya its key. Chicago can pass really well. Cutler takes plenty of chances and they have a lot of weapons. LBs and safeties will get plenty of action as well. They use the TE and throw a ton of screens to Forte.

Well, it was in Dallas this weekend so...

Cant wait to see the new stadium in the regular season home opener. We owe denver some payback for this past preseason. Anyway, hope cook gets activated so he and dontae johnson can start grabbing some INTs against CHI. Aaron lynch and lemonier needs to get in the grill of cutler.

Yep. A lot of the talking heads picked the Cowboys. I've dialed back on how much national pre-game crap I watch. Just can't be bothered rolling my eyes anymore at what often-times is nothing more than gossip or worst case scenarios.
Haven't been to Levi's yet. Can anyone recommend a certain lot to tailgate in? I see a few of them permit BBQs, but trying to narrow down which one is best. Probably going to have 15-20 people.

Thanks

If we had to play today I'd agree. But after we get the o-line back in place with Boone and Davis and keep clicking off wins until our All-Pro LB's get back we'll be ready to peak at just the right time.

I couldn't agree more... The influx of talent and fresh ALL-PRO bodies we will see after the bye week will be huge for us... In the meantime, I trust our depth to hold down the fort... By the way, attrition is a part of football, always has been... What happens when Seadderall starts to lose some pieces in the middle of the season? (i.e., does anybody really believe that Harvin will be healthy for all 16 games? I sure don't...)
