1. First we don't get out to a big lead if we aren't ready to play. So anyone who thinks otherwise is just wrong.
2. Refs didn't cost us the game but they did change the momentum of the game.
3. Kap was inaccurate the whole game, locked down on receivers, wasn't protecting the ball well and wasn't making good read/option plays.
4. Coaching deserves some blame. Not sure why on a 3rd and 6 in the red zone they decided to run when the previous 2 got stuffed. Not giving Jimmy Ward help on Marshall was a huge mistake. Went away from the run to much.
5. Couldn't generate a pass rush.
6. Offensive line did not play well. Jonathan Martin fell apart in the 4th.

If we fixed any one of these issues we'd win the game. #2 though concerns me and everyone here...if our only resemblence of a pass rush comes from a 34 year old DE...
Crapola.
Applying pressure on the QB doesn't always have to come from the front 4. You soften olines by throwing different schemes at them...that includes blitz packages.
I don't recall seeing Fangio blitz once last night. It was apparent from the first quarter that we couldn't get to Cutler, yet we sat back and let him warm up. End result: he goes 13/14 121yrds 4 TDs in the second half.
Don't understand Fangio's gameplan. He relies to much on his backfield to make plays.
Blitzing exposes one-on-one match-ups with Marshall and Jeffries. But you know what, we didn't blitz and they still got exposed.
I do remember them sending Willis for a blitz. Regardless, Vangio has been known to not send out too many blitzes, it's nothing new.

Ok Chicken Littles relax. We always lose the second game of the season and we have to read the same b******t every year in the Zone. I get the nubes but you Veterans should know better by now. I get some of you are haters but you others know this happens every season. We will rip off 5 games in a row and everyone can then Stfu.

We're going to have a difficult time next week against Arizona. That defense blitzes and sometimes sends the house. Something Fangio is afraid to do.

Jed doesn't give a s**t as long as everybody keeps filling the seats
I disagree with that. I think he has shown he wants to win.
Could've fooled me..he sits there and watches the offense do the same crap over and over again and nothing ever changes. Our conservativeness has been our Achilles heel since 2011.

Ok, so what exactly do you want Jed to do about this? Go Al Davis and start calling plays from the box?

This isn't the same team as the last 3 years (at least not for a couple weeks)
It's a bit more concerning at this point

+1
I believe Jed went home pissed like the rest of us.
No doubt about it. Just think about it, it was the opener of his pet project multi-billion dollar new stadium, think about all the VIP guests there, think about the hype build-up on how the 9ers were supposed to completely hammer the Bears...The guy basically had no face left before he went home and yes the dude was mega pissed just like the rest of us.

for several reasons this team is just pathetic right now. that can obviously change but there are some big time concerns.

No. We've lost the second game 3-4 years that Harbaugh has been here. My only concern is the pass rush, we have zero. Still not worried.

1) Promote Greg Roman to Senior Ass't Head Coach;
2) Take Mangini off tight ends, promote him to Asst head coach in charge of rule compliance and clock management;
3) Sign Shanahan to a 2 year contract as OC;
4) Inform harbaugh of 1,2 3;
This should be done done by Wednesday.
not sure if giving roman a promotion is appropriate,
i never knew what mangini did in the first place and I am not trying to be negative but i am almost numb to bad clock management,,,, it has been this way ever since Jh arrived, no matter the qb,, and I think there is no solution to that,, sad to say..... some of the penalties were bull s**t but not all of them,, the players have to learn to adapt to the new rules and these silly unsportsmanship 15 yard things are just unacceptable, come on guys
