Applying pressure on the QB doesn't always have to come from the front 4. You soften olines by throwing different schemes at them...that includes blitz packages.

I don't recall seeing Fangio blitz once last night. It was apparent from the first quarter that we couldn't get to Cutler, yet we sat back and let him warm up. End result: he goes 13/14 121yrds 4 TDs in the second half.

Don't understand Fangio's gameplan. He relies to much on his backfield to make plays.

Blitzing exposes one-on-one match-ups with Marshall and Jeffries. But you know what, we didn't blitz and they still got exposed.

San francisco played the worst 40 minutes of football i have seen executed by adults. I thought I was going to barf. QB execution s*kd. Coaching s*kd. Blocking s*kd. Coverage s*kd. Pass rush s*kd. Play calling s*kd. Preparation s*kd. Adjustments s*kd. It's hard to fathom.

I knew we were in trouble right away when we came out with a double tight end set in the backfield. All we have are gimmick formations trying to disguise the two or three bread and butter plays our QB can make.

Fangio is on auto pilot. Roman is on auto pilot. Zero adjustment in the game on either side of the ball.

Holy moly.

At least we're not the damn Saints, choking away their first 2 (completely winnable) games. I think five teams are 2-0 right now, everyone else 1-1 or worse. True parity, exactly what the NFL wants. Let's all put down the crack-pipe.

We cant be turning the ball over so many times, especially in the fourth quarter. Like someone else said before we need more dink n dunk passes.

We won't turn the ball over that many times and our penalties will go down. This team will be fine

Wrong!! Why do you think we don't call dink and dunk passes? Because our QB CANNOT THROW THEM!!! That is the elephant in the room. Did you see the little 3 yard out to McDonald that he threw 3 yards behind him? If he can't make that throw he can't play with the big boys. Sorry but there it is.

Alex used to dink and dunk when the team was down by 30pts and there was only 10 min left to play.

Here's the plan:

1) Promote Greg Roman to Senior Ass't Head Coach;
2) Take Mangini off tight ends, promote him to Asst head coach in charge of rule compliance and clock management;
3) Sign Shanahan to a 2 year contract as OC;
4) Inform harbaugh of 1,2 3;

This should be done done by Wednesday.

When were up in points nothing wrong in dink n dunking a long sustained drive to kill the clock a little. If the long throw presents itself, then he can attempt it, buy not risky ones.

Through this loss Id say wilhoite and carrier played pretty well.
