Totally agree. We had the most penalties I think than any team in the league this weekend, or at least it seemed that way. But I'm not going to blame the refs on this because no game is going to be called perfect. Yeah Gore's TD got taken away, that was a BS call, but you know what move on. Those 4 TO's were not the refs fault. I would have been fine with Kaep taking the sacks and punting. Almost all of those TO's gave the Bears great field position and they knew the could overpower our corners with Marshall and Jeffries.

Well I won't blame the OL on this loss. They had their breakdowns but on those INT's by Kaep, he had the protection. On that fumble, well that was Kaeps fault.
Maiocco's quick hits

Gore was in a deep discussion with Roman. Hopefully, he told him how to call play in order to put the games away.

Every team is gonna go after Ward. All the opponent needs to do is put their #1 in the slot at times.
Yea I think I wanna see a single drive AT LEAST, where Kaep isn't killing the original play.
Still pissed.

The game ended at 6am in Germany, then I had to go to work like a zombie. thx Kap, that staying up was all worth, thank you very much.
Let the vitriol flow! Bears played out of their minds on D. They don't normally play that we'll. Combine that with the stupid penalties and it was a recipe for a comeback. .

Kap needs to play better but those were some outstanding ints by the Bears dbs.

I assume many want to jump off the bridge today but here is my take, we lost because
1 ck was a turnover machine and there is no nice spin to put on that and that must stop
2 we can can not pass protect nor can we pass rush
3 despite all of our toys and weapons getting 3 pts after a nice long drive is unacceptable
4bad clock management but that has been a issue for three plus years
5 to many penalties, yes some were b******t but MANY were not so if you are just going to throw a blanket over the loss by saying the refs screwed us, you are whistling past the end zone

bottom line the team will and had better work to clean up all those areas but i have no confidence they will fix bullet point 4 because they have not in three plus ears. maybe i am whistling past the end zone but we and seattle are 1-1, the cards are 2-0 but that will not stay that way.. oh i see large chunks of sod came up out of the field last night, just a little thing and i know nothing about turf but,, jesus..

oh poster scoots,, sorry to upset you but gore is not ready for the junk heap and hyde is not ready to take over

NOT ONE and this was where we struggled last year. If the defense doesn't give the offense a short field, we can only score a FG. I'm not convinced one bit this offense is any better than it was last year. I am not convinced that play-calling has improved. I'm not convince this OL is being coached properly. I'm not convinced the defense is prepared to win games without Aldon Smith. I'm not convinced any one of our coaches are willing to do new things/adjustments that's needed to win games.

Well this was a given. I for one knew the defense was not going to be the same. The D, for most of the 1st half, did their job. But this is where the offense is SUPPOSED to pick up the slack with the added weapons. Oh wait....Lloyd and Patton were inactive so that wasn't going to help. They didn't run the ball as much as maybe they should have but the Bears were stacking the box most of the night and daring Kaep to beat them. Looks like they dared right.

I'm going to blame Kaep on 95% of this though. He made those throws resulting in INT's and he decided to run with the ball and not secure it. The OL played better than last week and they had their breakdowns but on those INT"s I don't recall Kaep being pressured.

They showed Jed on camera in them middle of the collapse. He was fuming, I really hope he christened this stadium with a chair through a wall or vending machine and ripped the team a new one. That is all.

Well I don't mind him killing the play, but kill it into something more productive. To me, either he still has issues with his reads or he can't read the defense. I'd like to see one of the experts review this game and find out if any receivers were open on those INT's and he just simply made the wrong decisions.

Gore with only 5 carries in the 2nd half is unacceptable. especially when you have a 10 point lead. i could hear Kap "kill" a lot of plays and we attempted pass plays. i wonder how much of that is on him.

Run where? Into a loaded box? The Bears had both safeties up, they were daring the 49ers to pass the ball. What I find disconcerting is that the 49ers weren't able to do so, not consistently. That's the worst part, you had a banged up defense missing its best CB, you have Boldin, Crabtree, Johnson, V.D. and you still can't go downfield regularly? That scares me.

This. We are gonna face better defenses than the bears, all this firepower and Roman don't know how to use them right.

This. But I'm not blamig Roman tonight. This was all Kap.

Yeah I agree, it was 95% Kaep for me.
The reason we lost is so obvious:

1. Penalties
2. Lack of pass rush
3. Turnovers

If we fixed any one of these issues we'd win the game. #2 though concerns me and everyone here...if our only resemblence of a pass rush comes from a 34 year old DE...

Crapola.

Applying pressure on the QB doesn't always have to come from the front 4. You soften olines by throwing different schemes at them...that includes blitz packages.

I don't recall seeing Fangio blitz once last night. It was apparent from the first quarter that we couldn't get to Cutler, yet we sat back and let him warm up. End result: he goes 13/14 121yrds 4 TDs in the second half.

Don't understand Fangio's gameplan. He relies to much on his backfield to make plays.
