i do not care who they are, what they have done in the past and what they may do in the future. it is just not good business to give a older running back multi years. it is nice he had a nice year, though he said it was the most miserable year of his life,, but for every frank gore success story there are multiple examples of where it did not work and they lost it over night... tony dorsett. franco harris,. chuck foreman. roger craig, shaun alexander. if you remove the emotional blather from the equation... it is not good business

but keeping the most amount of cap space of any team and not spending it while the roster looks like garbage is good business, k, got it.

thank you
to you it looks like garbage and that is nice for you. to other fans and to the coaches. they are excited and think it has great potential. oh and to spend money just because you can and to spend it on people who are not worth it is also bad business

the points were about what Trent did for the RB core last year.

Gore would die in Chips offense. Hyde is the same type of hard nosed runner. I hope the guy can last a full season. The other guys are all question marks that look more like practice squad guys.

Why would Gore lie about talking to Trent to the media?

Agree, should have given him more money instead of Bush and the other 7 guys they signed off the street, imo.

At the end of the day It wouldn't have done a damn thing giving him more money, we would have won maybe one more game...he avg 3.7 ypc with the colts he would have ran for even less with us (draughn ran for like 3.6) and he didn't cost us anything.

We got his best yrs and he will forever be a Niner end of story...as soon as tomsula was named coach we were s**tting the bed on the 2015 season.

it is amazing the backs did what they did considering the line play. reggie may have been good for us had the idiot coaches never called a play for him he never should have run vs the vikings. we disagree but I am excited about the quality and quantity of running backs we have combined with a better offensive line. at this time last year we were also hopeful that hunter would make a full recovery. i am still unsure what to think of davis. i have been told rathman is the greatest running back coach there is but he could not get anything from him. it will be a very fun battle to me. we also really do not know what exactly chip will run and all i know is that hyde is in great shape and has a great attitude about the changes and that is a good start to me

They tried going after Doug Martin but he got paid top RB cash. They have two young RBs in Davis and Taylor that both Handled big work loads in college plus draughn...there not household names but can be effective runners in his system.

i am sorry i did not see the s**t in the bed until week three of the regular season gore being here would not have mattered on bit and as said. all will be forgiven in a few years when he comes back to be honored at half time

Davis only had 35 carries all yr due to injuries, not saying he's amazing but he was a solid RB in college...he's got to get in shape and the OL needs to create holes for these guys.

Love Taylor's footwork very quick and he's always moving forward, he could be a diamond in the rough. Pumped for preseason.

Yeah a lot of youth on this team, a lot of potential just need the right coaching to get the most out of them. A lot of fans love the big flashy names and I understand that but at some point the cream will rise to the top here. I think we have some great young starters in Lynch, Ward, Tartt, AA, Smith, Hyde, Buckner, Garnett, Staley, Reid etc.....kinda reminds me of the young Carolina teams we just need a QB lol

As soon as I got the notification on my phone that tomsula was named HC I said well this season is f**ked...tomsula was a sacrificial lamb last yr lol. The turnover was wayyy too much for any real head coach let alone someone like him.

Seems like we got a trend going on singletary harbs tomsula chip.....we will see but I'm optimistic.
